Any Law Enforcement family or friends who are interested in doing an Anthology in 2005, please email me at writtenbyanne@cox.net with Anthology in the subject line.  Anne Shiever is compiling an anthology dedicated to the "career of law enforcement", their families, and friends!  The book is called:  "INSIDE AND OUT" with poetry, prose, short stories, including selections about working on the streets, as well as inside the jail walls.  Each year hundreds of Corrections Officers, Troopers, Law Enforcement Officers lose their lives in the line of duty.  Anne Shiever currently works in Corrections as one of the Night Shift supervisors of both inmates and staff.  She has worked for Saline County Jail since 1996.  See her poem:  "THE WOMAN IN BLUE" & "THE REVOLVING DOOR".

{Although many publishers today frown on self-publication, I personally know authors who have been extremely successful in this type of publishing method as a member of the Kansas Author's Club which celebrated over 100 years of existence and great success in the year of 2004.  New members are joining this magnificent organization every year, and you do not have to live in Kansas to become a member.  Every year there is a fabulous convention with great learning tips taught by experienced, authors, publishers, marketing agents, self-published authors, etc!  Find out more information about the Kansas Author's Club by visiting the website listed on this page.

Remember that as an author, you already have a "Passion For Writing!"  Anything is possible if you want to achieve your dream of being published!  Marketing is another field all it's own.  You have to work hard at both to become a successful writer in this world, unless you already have your own agent to do the extra work for you.  When you have an agent, the job is much easier, but you do share much of your profit as a writer with the agent who is working for you.}

As stated previously, there will be other anthologies for projected release in 2005 by many publishers.  There are also many great writing opportunities on the internet.  If you are a writer, and need any help getting started, just let me know and I'll steer you in the right direction if I have the information readily available.  Don't be discouraged!  Many successful authors have been told "NO WAY", "NOT INTERESTED" etc, and then their time to shine eventually happened.  It can happen if it is your goal and dream.
