The women who have played Vampirella
As of this writing, there have been 6 women who have been in the Vampirella
movie, or been on the covers of Vampirella comics. The first was Barbara Leigh.
She appeared on the covers of several Warren Vampirellas around the middle
of the comic's run. She was supposed to be Vampirella in the proposed movie
which never actually materialized during the heyday of the Warren years.
To many, she IS Vampirella, and all the others are imitators. She was the first
though, so it is easy to see why she is called the "original Vampirella"
She is stunning, and to this Vampi fan, the best. But, that is not to say that
the other ladies who donned the Vampirella costume were bad. Quite the contrary!
The next Vampirella was Cathy Cristian. She was seen on the covers of many Harris Vampirellas
between 1993 and 1995.
Sascha Knopf was the next, and graced the covers of some of the Harris Vampirellas
between 1995 and 1996.
Talisa Soto was the next Vampirella seen on Harris covers. She was also in the Showtime
movie made in 1996.
Cristiva Turner has been popping up lately in magazines like Fem Fatale in
the Vampirella costume.
And finally this lovely lady can be seen on some of the sexiest covers
to be found in the Harris issues!
