COURSES

ARTIST AGENT COURSE:  This is individual tuition for entrepreneurs interested in representing artists and helping to promote their careers. Each course is custom design and scheduled for your needs. If you are or someone you know is interested in: Detailed answers about the artist agent function; an overview of the arts marketing world with specifics of the local art scene; collectors - who and where is the new market and what methods do we have for connecting to this potential sales group and making a project based strategic plan for your agency. This short course is four two-hour sessions and can be completed at your own pace -- weekly, monthly or even over a year. The cost is $200 for all four sessions. There is a discount if you join a group for this course.

START WHERE YOU ARE COURSE: Laying the Foundation for Your Artwork.  This course includes making a commitment to your art, inspiration, intention, focus, concept files, artist journal, studio space, building a body of work, titles, framing and presentation, as well as managing your inventory.

ARTIST PRESENTATION PORTFOLIO COURSE: Preparing Your Artist Packet.  This course includes writing your artist biography, writing your artists statement, exhibit and show history listing, documentation and slides, artist packets presentation and format, web sites, and pricing your artwork.

SECURING GALLERY REPRESENTATION COURSE: Establishing Your Relationship with Galleries.  This course includes identifying art markets, researching galleries, establishing gallery criteria, selecting appropriate galleries, approaching galleries, contracts, exclusivity, developing relationships with galleries, packing and shipping, communications and private sales.

CUSTOMIZED WORKSHOPS

These workshops can be designed around the needs of the artist(s) and can be a combination of a number of the above lecture topics.  Either or all of the lecturers can conduct these workshops. A telephone consultation is necessary to arrange appropriate subjects.

STUDIO VISITS: 
Studio visits are available by Stephen C. Wagner in the San Francisco Bay Area by appointment on selected topics at $125 for a minimum of two hours.

Patricia Frischer can be contacted to write Artists Statements.  She charges $.50 a word and this includes a studio visit within the immediate San Diego region including North County. Minimum 200 words.

SAMPLE FEES:

Lectures (art orgs. & colleges only): $100 per hour
Customized Workshop: $250 (3-hour workshop),  additional hours by arrangement
Studio Visit (topic of your choice)  $62.50 per hour, 2-hour minimum
