Arm of YAHWEH

The Arm of YAHWEH

YAHWEH has a mighty and powerful outstretched arm and hand. There is great significance that is revealed in His arm and hand. This article seeks to reveal His arm. Are you able to receive it?

By Jerry Healan

Before delivering the children of Israel out of Egypt, YAHWEH told Moses, "Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. 2 And Elohim spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am YAHWEH: 3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by El Shaddai but by My name YAHWEH was I not known to them? 4 And I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. 5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered My covenant. 6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am YAHWEH, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: 7 And I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you a Elohim: and ye shall know that I am YAHWEH your Elohim, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians." Ex. 6:1-7.

After their deliverance from Egypt and through the sea, the children sang triumphantly, "Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto YAHWEH, and spake, saying, I will sing unto YAHWEH, for He hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath He thrown into the sea. 2 YAHWEH is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my Elohim, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's Elohim, and I will exalt him. 3 YAHWEH is a man of war: YAHWEH is His name. 4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath He cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. 5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. 6 Thy right hand, O YAHWEH, is become glorious in power: Thy right hand, O YAHWEH, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. 7 And in the greatness of Thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against Thee: Thou sentest forth Thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble. 8 And with the blast of Thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. 9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. 10 Thou didst blow with Thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. 11 Who is like unto Thee, O YAHWEH, among the Elohim? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? 12 Thou stretchedst out Thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. 13 Thou in Thy mercy hast led forth the people which Thou hast redeemed: Thou hast guided them in Thy strength unto Thy holy habitation. 14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. 15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. 16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of Thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till Thy people pass over, O YAHWEH, till the people pass over, which Thou hast purchased. 17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O YAHWEH, which Thou hast made for Thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O YAHWEH, which Thy hands have established. 18 YAHWEH shall reign for ever and ever. 19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and YAHWEH brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea." Ex. 15:1-19.

Notice the accolades concerning His right hand and His arm. YAHWEH'S hand and arm are powerful in the ability to destroy His enemies and to deliver His chosen people. These accolades are also replete throughout the Psalms and Prophets.

Moses reminded the children of Israel, "Or hath Elohim assayed to go and take Him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that YAHWEH your Elohim did for you in Egypt before your eyes?," Dt. 4:34.

THE ARM AND SALVATION

Especially notice that YAHWEH became Israel’s salvation because of the power of His right hand and outstretched arm Ex. 15:2, 6 & 12.

The Psalmist also proclaimed about the power of YAHWEH'S arm to save, "We have heard with our ears, O Elohim, our fathers have told us, what work Thou didst in their days, in the times of old. 2 How Thou didst drive out the heathen with Thy hand, and plantedst them; how Thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. 3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but Thy right hand, and Thine arm, and the light of Thy countenance, because Thou hadst a favour unto them," Psa. 44:1-3.

He also proclaims, "O sing unto YAHWEH a new song; for He hath done marvellous things: His right hand, and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory. YAHWEH hath made known His salvation: His righteousness hath He openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the Salvation of our Elohim," Psa. 98:1-3.

Again, YAHWEH'S right hand and holy arm are associated with salvation.

The prophet Isaiah is also inspired to proclaim the association of YAHWEH'S arm with salvation, "Woe unto thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee. O YAHWEH, be gracious unto us; we have waited for Thee: be Thou their arm every morning, our Salvation also in the time of trouble," Isa. 33:1-2.

In Isaiah, chapter 59, YAHWEH proclaims the evil deeds of man, stating that His hand is not shortened that it cannot save, but that the iniquities of the people have separated between them and Him. Verses 1-15 witness to the evil deeds of the people while verses 16 proclaims, "And He saw that there was no men, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him."

Again, He testifies, "Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in Mine heart, and the year of My redeemed is come. 5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me; and My fury, it upheld Me," Isa. 63:1-5.

It is YAHWEH'S right hand and arm that brings salvation! These are the inspired words of YAHWEH!

ISRAEL’S SAVIOR

According to YAHWEH'S own words, He, personally, is Israel’s Savior, "But now thus saith YAHWEH that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am YAHWEH thy Elohim, the Holy One of Israel, Thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4 Since thou wast precious in My sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. 5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the ends of the earth; 7 Even every one that is called by My name: for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. 8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. 10 Ye are My witnesses, saith YAHWEH, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no Elohim formed, neither shall there be after Me. 11 I, even I, am YAHWEH; and beside Me there is no saviour. 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange elohim among you: therefore ye are My witnesses, saith YAHWEH, that I am Elohim. 13 Yea, before the day was I am He; and there is none that can deliver out of My hand: I will work, and who shall let it? 14 Thus saith YAHWEH, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. 15 I am YAHWEH, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King," Isa. 43:1-15.

Notice it carefully, YAHWEH says that He is Israel’s Savior and there is no other Savior beside Him. He declares the same thing again in the book of Hosea, "When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died. 2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves. 3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney. 4 Yet I am YAHWEH thy Elohim from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no Elohim but Me: for there is no saviour beside Me," 13:1-4.

REVEALING THE RIGHT ARM

Look at Isa. 43:8 again, "Bring forth the blind People that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears." YAHWEH has blinded the eyes of His people and they are absolutely deaf to His words and the crying out of the prophets.

The Apostle Paul reveals that YAHWEH has purposely blinded Israel, "What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the Election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (according as it is written, ‘YAHWEH hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear’;) unto this day...For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, ‘There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away unrighteousness from Jacob:’ ‘For this is My covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins’," Ro. 11:7-8, 25-27.

Israel was purposefully blinded in order to accomplish the salvation of YAHWEH not only for Israel, but also for the Gentiles, for all peoples truly belong to YAHWEH.

Isaiah proclaims, "Verily Thou art a El That hidest Thyself, O Elohim of Israel, the Saviour," 45:15.

Look at that again! He hides Himself from His own People, but He, personally, is their Savior! It is YAHWEH'S own right hand and arm that brings Salvation. How can we know this arm? Only if we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us through His word, the Scriptures and believe what we read!

Isaiah also declares, "Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the Arm of YAHWEH revealed?" 53:1.

The Apostle John is effectively utilized by YAHWEH to reveal this arm for He writes about YAHshua, "Then YAHshua said unto them, ‘Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.’ These things spake YAHshua and departed, and did hide Himself from them. But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on Him: that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, ‘YAHWEH, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the Arm of YAHWEH been revealed?’ Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again, ‘He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart: that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted and I should heal them.’ These things said Isaiah when he saw His glory, and spake of Him," Jn. 12:35-41.

Isaiah was allowed to see the "Arm of YAHWEH" and to write of Him. John and the other apostles were allowed to see the "Arm of YAHWEH" and write of Him, but the great overall majority of the people are still blinded to the truth concerning Him. Sadly, so many in the assemblies are also blinded to the reality of just Who YAHshua really was. YAHshua is the right hand and Arm of YAHWEH!

COMPARING ISAIAH 53 WITH APOSTOLIC WRITINGS

Let’s take a look at Isa. 53 and then compare it with the writings of the New Testament, "Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the Arm of YAHWEH revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before HIM as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. 4 Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of Elohim, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and YAHWEH hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was He stricken. 9 And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased YAHWEH to bruise Him; HE hath put Him to grief: when THOU shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in His hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall MY righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

We have already seen that the Apostle John quoted verse 1. Verse 4 is quoted in Mt. 8:17. This was written immediately after the sermon on the mount concerning those who were healed by YAHshua. Verse 5 is quoted by the Apostle Peter in 1 Pet. 2:24. Verse 6 is also quoted by the Apostle Peter in 1 Pet. 2:25. Verses 7-8 are quoted in Acts 8:32-33 in the incident which occurred between Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. Verse 9 is quoted by the Apostle Peter in 1 Pet. 2:22. Finally verse 12 is quoted in Mk. 15:28. It would be good for you to read and compare all of these Scriptures and read quite a few of the verses in the New Testament which are written before and after these occurrences. (For example, Mt. 8:1-17, 1 Pet. 2:21-25, etc.)

The "Arm of YAHWEH" is revealed. The "Arm of YAHWEH" is the One Who became salvation to Israel in the day when Israel was delivered out of Egypt. The "Arm of YAHWEH" is the One Who delivered David from all of His trials and problems. The "Arm of YAHWEH" is the Savior of Israel, the salvation of all peoples, YAHshua the Messiah of Nazareth!

THE REDEEMER

YAHWEH proclaims that He is Israel’s Redeemer, "Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee saith YAHWEH, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel," Isa. 41:14. "Thus saith YAHWEH, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; ‘For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships," Isa. 43:14. "Thus saith YAHWEH the King of Israel, and his Redeemer YAHWEH of hosts; ‘I am the first, and I am the last; and beside Me there is no Elohim," Isa. 44:6. "Thus saith YAHWEH, thy Redeemer, and He That formed thee from the womb, ‘I am YAHWEH That maketh all things; That stretcheth forth the heavens alone; That spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself...’," Isa. 44:24. "As for our Redeemer, YAHWEH of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel," Isa. 47:4. "Thus saith YAHWEH, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; ‘I am YAHWEH thy Elohim Which teacheth thee to profit, Which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go’," Isa. 48:17. "Thus saith YAHWEH, the Redeemer of Israel, and His Holy One, ‘to Him Whom man despiseth, to Him Whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of YAHWEH That is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose Thee’....But thus saith YAHWEH, ‘Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with them that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their won flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I YAHWEH am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob’," Isa. 49:7, 25-26. "Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I YAHWEH am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob," Isa. 60:16. "Thus saith YAHWEH of hosts; ‘The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go. Their Redeemer is strong; YAHWEH of hosts is His name: He shall thoroughly plead their cause, that He may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon’," Jer. 50:33-34. (See also Isa. 54:5, 8; 59:20; 63:16)

According to the New Testament, YAHshua is the One Who redeems us, "But when the fulness of the time was come, Elohim sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons," Gal. 4:5. "For the grace of Elohim that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying unrighteousness and worldly lusts we should live soberly, righteously, and piously in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great Elohim and our Saviour YAHshua the Messiah; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works," Tit. 2:11-14.

Redemption comes through YAHshua's poured out blood, "Blessed be the Elohim and FATHER of our Sovereign YAHshua the Messiah Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in the Messiah: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by YAHshua the Messiah to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved: in Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to His grace," Eph. 1:3-7.

"We give thanks to Elohim and the FATHER of our Sovereign YAHshua the Messiah, praying always for you....Giving thanks unto the FATHER, Which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son; in Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins...," Col. 1:3, 12-14.

"But the Messiah being come an High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us, for if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of the Messiah, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to YAHWEH, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim? And for this cause He is the Mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance," Heb. 9:11-15.

We have seen that YAHWEH proclaimed that He was Israel’s Elohim, Savior and Redeemer. Yet, the New Testament reveals that YAHshua is the Savior and Redeemer. YAHWEH said that there was no Elohim or Savior beside Him. Since the New Testament presents YAHshua as Savior and Redeemer while the Old Testament presents YAHWEH as Savior and Redeemer, then Who is YAHshua? Either He is an imposter or He is YAHWEH.

THE NEAR KINSMAN

When YAHWEH told Moses, "I will redeem you with a stretched out arm," Ex. 6:6, the Hebrew word utilized for "redeem" is "ga’al." The Hebrew Lexicon of Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance gives the definition of "ga’al" as; a primitive root, to redeem (according to the Oriental law of kinship), i.e. to be the next of kin (and as such to buy back a relative's property, marry his widow, etc.).

Notice that the word "ga’al" (redeem) has to do with the Oriental law of kinship, to be the next of kin.

YAHWEH commanded Israel, "When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against YAHWEH, and that person be guilty; then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed. But if the man have no kinsman (ga’al/redeemer) to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto YAHWEH, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him," Num. 5:6-8.

The Hebrew word for "recompense" is "shuwb". It is defined as; a primitive root; to turn back (hence, away) transitively or intransitively, literally or figuratively (not necessarily with the idea of return to the starting point); generally to retreat; often adverbial, again.

When someone trespasses against another, then a gulf is created between the two. The one sinned against is offended while the one committing the sin or trespass has not shown the fruits of loving his neighbor. In order to repair the gulf, there was the law of redemption which had to be mediated by a near kinsman (ga’al/redeemer). To recompense had to do with returning into one’s grace or favor.

The simple fact of the matter is that we have all sinned against YAHWEH which has created a gulf between us, "Behold, YAHWEH'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your Elohim, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear," Isa. 59:1-2.

The Apostle Paul writes, "What then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin: as it is written, ‘There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after Elohim. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood: destruction and misery are in their ways: and the way of peace have they not known: there is no fear of Elohim before their eyes.’ ...For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of YAHWEH," Ro. 3:9-18, 23.

We need a kinsman, a redeemer. But we have a problem, "Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world: Both low and high, rich and poor, together. My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of My heart shall be of understanding. I will incline Mine ear to a parable: I will open My dark saying upon the harp. Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of My heels shall compass Me about? They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to Elohim a ransom for him: of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever: That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption," Psa. 49:1-9.

Because of our iniquities, we have no power to redeem ourselves, much less our brother or near kinsmen. That’s why Isaiah was inspired to proclaim, "Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and YAHWEH saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak," Isa. 59:15-17.

YAHWEH, Himself, had to become our Intercessor, our Redeemer (ga’al), our near Kinsman! The Apostle Paul understood this and wrote, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in the Messiah YAHshua: Who, being in the form of Elohim, thought it not robbery to be equal with Elohim: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore Elohim also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of YAHshua every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that YAHshua the Messiah is Sovereign, to the glory of YAHWEH the FATHER," Phil. 2:5-11.

The Apostle John also witnessed to YAHshua being Elohim, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim...And the Word was made (became) flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the FATHER,) full of grace and truth," Jn. 1:1, 14.

The Apostle Thomas witnessed that YAHshua was Elohim, "And Thomas answered and said unto Him, ‘My Sovereign and my Elohim," Jn. 20:28.

THE PLURAL UNITY

Does this begin to confuse you that we call the FATHER YAHWEH and also imply that YAHshua was YAHWEH? It really isn’t all that difficult to understand. YAHshua proclaimed, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the FATHER hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of Mine, and shall shew it unto you," Jn. 16:12-15.

What belongs to the FATHER also belongs to YAHshua. Thus the name of the FATHER is a possession of the Son. Furthermore, those who belong to YAHshua also have the name YAHWEH for a possession as the book of Revelation 14:1 declares, "And I looked, and lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His FATHER'S name written in their foreheads."

The name YAHshua comes from two Hebrew words "Yah" which is the shortened form of the name YAHWEH and "Hoshea" which means salvation or savior. Thus, the name YAHshua means "The Salvation of YAHWEH," "YAHWEH is Salvation," or "YAHWEH the Savior."

YAHWEH is the family name of the Elohim of Heaven. The word Elohim is plural of the word El. It is not a name, but a title or description. While it means mighty ones, creators, etc., it is similar to the words man, men, mankind. We are men, YAHWEH is Elohim. While someone may address us as "Hey man," that is not our name. Our name may be John or Jane, etc. His name is YAHWEH. We may be the man John or woman Jane, He is the El or Elohim YAHWEH.

The word Elohim is utilized throughout Gen. 1 in the creation account. It is translated as "God" in the English. Toward the end of the chapter the statement is made, "Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.’ So Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim created He him; male and female created He them. And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said unto them, ‘Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth," vv. 26-28.

I have emboldened the words which refer to Elohim and man in order to reveal the plural and singular inferences. Keep in mind that Elohim is plural. Notice that Elohim (plural) utilizes us, our, He, His and Him in describing Himself while He utilizes man (singular or plural), them and him in the description of the man and woman.

Elohim said that He made man in His own image. Genesis chapter two gives a little more detailed account of the creation of man. In this account the Hebrew utilizes YAHWEH Elohim to identify the Creator. It is rendered as "the LORD God" in the English. The Jewish Kabbalists take the name YAHWEH (hwhy) and break it down this way y (Yod) masculine, h (Hei) feminine, w (Vav/Waw) masculine, h (Hei) feminine. They break it down even further by implying y (Yod) FATHER, h (Hei) mother, w (son), h (Hei) wife.

Other plurals are implied in Scripture when speaking of YAHWEH or Elohim such as Gen. 11:7 which states, "Go to, let Us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech." Isa. 6:8, "Also I heard the voice of YAHWEH saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Prov. 9:10, "The fear of YAHWEH is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." The word "holy" in this verse is actually plural instead of singular. In the Interlinear Bible this verse reads thusly: "The fear of YAHWEH and the knowledge of the Holy Ones is understanding."

The Psalmist declares, "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against YAHWEH and against His Anointed (Messiah), saying, ‘Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us," Psa. 2:1-3.

The question is, When has this event taken place? The answer is, Several times! It took place through Adam, Cain and their posterity before the flood. It took place through Nimrod, Ham, Cush and the rest of mankind after the flood. It took place through Israel before, during and after their deliverance and entrance into the land of promise. It took place during and after YAHshua the Messiah's (the Anointed’s) appearance, death and resurrection. It is taking place in today’s world! The point is that is has taken place in all of the ages of mankind.

These Scriptures prove YAHshua's existence before His birth in the flesh. YAHshua told the people of His day, "I and My FATHER are one," Jn. 10:30. YAHWEH had commanded the man and the woman to become one flesh (Gen. 2:24). YAHshua spoke of this when He said, "Have ye not read, that He Which made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?’ Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore Elohim hath joined together, let not man put asunder," Mt. 19:4-6. The relationship between the FATHER and Son is so much closer than the relationship between man and woman, man and wife, unity in the flesh can ever be, because Their unity is of the Holy Spirit. This spiritual relationship of unity has existed, is existing and will always exist for all eternity.

Still, in the human mind the question is asked, How can two be counted as one? Isn’t this polytheism? Look at your own body and understand. You have two legs, two feet, two arms, two hands, two eyes, two nostrils, two lungs, two hemispheres to the brain, two kidneys, etc., etc., yet they are all part of one body. Also, as YAHshua stated, when a man takes a wife and a woman a husband, the two are supposed to become one flesh. They become one family which is able to bring forth children who are composed of elements from both the husband and wife. They can become many members, yet one family. Think about it and understand.

YAHshua and His disciples revealed time and time again that He came down from heaven. YAHshua told the people of that day, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am," Jn. 8:58. That is to say, Before Abraham existed (came into being), I existed (am).

Those who cannot accept and understand this fall into the same category that the disciples were in when YAHshua told them, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now." They also fall into the same category of disbelieving and blinded Israel.

THE CREATOR

The book of Ecclesiastes declares, "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, ‘I have no pleasure in them," Eccl. 12:1. (KJV) The interesting thing about this verse is that The Companion Bible notes that the word "Creator" is plural!

YAHWEH says that He created all things by His own hands, "Thus saith YAHWEH, ‘The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where is the house that ye build unto Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things hath Mine hand made, and all those things have been saith YAHWEH: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My word," Isa. 66:1-2.

"Thus saith YAHWEH, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, ‘Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons, and concerning the work of My hands command ye Me, I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded," Isa. 45:11-12.

YAHWEH even gets specific about His right hand doing the creating, "Hearken unto Me, O Jacob and Israel, My called; I am He: I am the first, I also am the last, Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together," Isa. 48:12-13.

It is not only obvious that YAHshua is the right hand and Arm of YAHWEH, it is also obvious by the writings of the New Testament that YAHshua is the One Who created all things, "Elohim, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, Whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of HIS glory, and the express image of HIS person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high," Heb. 1:1-3.

"WHO (the FATHER) hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of HIS dear Son: In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the assembly: Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the FATHER that in Him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto HIMSELF; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven," Col. 1:13-20.

"Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of YAHWEH given unto me by the effectual working of His power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of the Messiah; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in Elohim, who created all things by YAHshua the Messiah: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the assembly the manifold wisdom of YAHWEH, 11 According to the eternal purpose which HE purposed in the Messiah YAHshua our Sovereign," Eph. 3:7-11.

I have highlighted the phrase "by YAHshua the Messiah," and the words "purpose" and "purposed" for a specific reason. The critics against what I am revealing here will quickly point out that the phrase "by YAHshua the Messiah" is omitted by the texts. The Companion Bible confirms this. However, the words "purpose" and "purposed" are interesting because "purpose" is translated from the Greek word "prothesis" which is defined as; from 4388; a setting forth, i.e. (figuratively) proposal (intention); specially, the show-bread (in the Temple) as exposed before G-d (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance Greek Lexicon). #4388 is the Greek word " protithemai" which is defined as; to place before, i.e. (for oneself) to exhibit; (to oneself) to propose (determine).

The word "purposed" is an entirely different Greek word. It is "poieo" which is defined as; apparently a prolonged form of an obsolete primary; to make or do (in a very wide application, more or less direct).

Given this knowledge, it is easy to understand that what is being implied here is that YAHWEH is now setting forth or exhibiting the creation, principalities and powers which were made by our Sovereign YAHshua the Messiah.

Of course, we also have the Apostle John’s writings, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim and the Word was Elohim. The same was in the beginning with Elohim. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men...He was in the world and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of Elohim, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Elohim. And the Word was made (became) flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the FATHER,) full of grace and truth," Jn. 1:1-4, 10-14.

The Old Testament reveals YAHWEH as Elohim, Savior, Deliverer, Redeemer, Creator. The New Testament reveals YAHshua as Elohim, Savior, Deliverer, Redeemer, Creator. The Old Testament reveals YAHWEH'S arm as the glorious power to create, save, deliver, redeem. The New Testament reveals YAHshua as the Arm of YAHWEH Who has the power to create, save, deliver, redeem.

YAHSHUA'S POSITION

YAHshua is now able to sit down on the right hand of the throne of YAHWEH in heaven. He is able also to stand on the right hand of the Heavenly FATHER. Following is a series of Scriptures to prove this point; "Who (YAHshua) being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they," Heb. 1:3-4.

"Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: we have such an High Priest, Who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens," Heb. 8:1.

"But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of Elohim; from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool," Heb. 10:12.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto YAHshua the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of YAHWEH," Heb. 12:1-2.

"That the Elohim of our Sovereign YAHshua the Messiah, the FATHER of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of HIM: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of HIS calling, and what the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of HIS power to us ward who believe, according to the working of HIS mighty power, which HE wrought in the Messiah, when HE raised Him from the dead, and set Him at HIS own right hand in the heavenly places," Eph. 1:17-20.

"The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward YAHWEH), by the resurrection of YAHshua the Messiah: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of YAHWEH; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him," 1 Pet. 3:21-22.

"But he (Steven), being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of YAHWEH, and YAHshua standing on the right hand of YAHWEH, and said, ‘Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of YAHWEH’." Acts 7:55-56.

These are all in accordance with Psa. 110 which declares, "YAHWEH said unto My Sovereign, ‘Sit Thou at MY right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.’ YAHWEH shall send the rod of Thy strength out of Zion: Rule Thou in the midst of Thine enemies...YAHWEH hath sworn and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. YAHWEH at Thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath," vv. 1-2

Now we know that the One being spoken of here is YAHshua the Messiah. He has sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. He is also the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Heb 5:6; 6:20; 7:17,21).

One of the interesting things about this Psalm is found in verse 5 which states, "YAHWEH at Thy right hand..." According to verse one, there is One Who is being invited to sit on the right hand of YAHWEH. But in verse 5, the One at the right hand is YAHWEH. This so thoroughly confused the Jewish scribes that they changed the name YAHWEH in verse 5 to Adonai (Sovereign). This is known as one of the emendations of the Sopherim or, in other words, one of the 134 places in Scriptural text where the name YAHWEH was changed to Adonai. This is simply more proof that YAHshua was YAHWEH.

YAHshua, Himself, prayed to the FATHER, "And now, O FATHER, glorify THOU Me with THINE OWN SELF with the glory which I had with THEE before the world was," Jn. 17:5. According to the Savior's own words He existed with the FATHER before Abraham and also before the world. Both Old and New Testaments declare this.

THE PASSOVER

I started this treatise by utilizing Ex. 6:1-7 wherein YAHWEH told Moses that He was going to redeem Israel out of slavery to Egypt with His stretched out arm. YAHWEH subsequently poured out 10 plagues on Egypt, effectively destroying the Egyptians causing them to let Israel go. The 10th and final plague consisted in the slaughter of the Passover lamb and placing the blood on the door posts and lintels of the Israelite dwellings in order to protect their firstborn from the plague of the death angel.

In today’s world YAHWEH'S people are actually enslaved to a greater Pharaoh who is administering a greater bondage. (Order our free article entitled "YAHWEH'S Passover Deliverance") The Masonic symbols on the back of the U.S. one dollar bill are declaring that we are under the power of a "New Order of the Ages" (Novus Ordo Seclorum), and that the U.S. currency is the "payment of Egypt" (Annuit Coeptis).

Through the prophet Jeremiah, YAHWEH promised an even greater deliverance from this greater Pharaoh, "Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that it shall no more be said, ‘YAHWEH liveth, That brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;’ but, ‘YAHWEH liveth, That brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither He had driven them:’ and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers," Jer. 16:14-15.

YAHWEH warns that He is going to pour out devastating plagues on this present evil world in the last days (Rev. 6, 8, 9, 15, 16). As in the days of old, YAHWEH has provided a way of deliverance for His people. He will redeem His People by the power of His stretched out arm. There is a greater Passover provided for the deliverance of His People, "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even the Messiah OUR PASSOVER is sacrificed for us," 1 Cor. 5:7.

YAHWEH has promised to make a new and better covenant with His people, "Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring then out of the land of Egypt; which My covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHWEH. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; after those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim and they shall be My People. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know YAHWEH:’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAHWEH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more," Jer. 31:31-34 & Heb. 8:8-12.

This covenant is made with a better sacrifice than the sacrifices and shed blood of animals, "Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. 2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary....9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. 11 But the Messiah being come an High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of the Messiah, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to Elohim, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim? 15 And for this cause He is the Mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance...22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For the Messiah is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of YAHWEH for us: 25 Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So the Messiah was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation," Heb. 9:1-2, 9-15, 22-28.

"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins...Then said He Lo, I come to do THY will, O Elohim. He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of YAHshua the Messiah once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of YAHWEH; 13 From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that HE had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put MY laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of YAHshua, 20 By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; 21 And having an High Priest over the house of Elohim; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; He is faithful that promised; 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" Heb. 10:4.

In the book of Psalms, YAHWEH proclaims, "Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice," 50:5. The interesting thing about this verse is that the literal statement "by sacrifice" in the Hebrew is "xb;z"-yle[]". Notice the word "yle[]" This is the word that has been translated as "by". But the interesting thing about this word is the yod (y) which is added to it. The Hebrew word (le[]) means by, on, upon, etc. But when the yod (y) is added to it the meaning is changed somewhat. For example, the words "My saints" is translated from the Hebrew word (yd'ysix]). Saints is translated from (d'ysix]), "My" is understood by the addition of the yod (y). The whole Hebrew phrase goes like this,

`xb;z"-yle[] ytiyrIb. yter>Ko yd'ysix] yli-Wps.ai and should be interpreted thusly: Wps.ai (gather) yl (to Me) yd'ysix (My saints); yter>K (those cutting with Me) ytiyrIb (My covenant) yle[ (by My) xb;z (sacrifice). (Remember that the Hebrew reads from right to left, but we read from left to right so please don’t get confused by my translation. I have simply taken each Hebrew word from the right and then caused the whole sentence structure to read from left to right.) Notice the yod (y) added to the "lamed" (l). Lamed usually is translated as "to". The added yod (y) causes it to be interpreted as "to Me." The same things applies to saints (d'ysix]), cutting (ter>K), and covenant (tiyrIb). The added yod (y) in each case changes the meaning to My, Me, Mine, etc. A more literal English translation of Psa. 50:5 therefore, would be, "Gather to Me My saints, cutting with Me My covenant by My sacrifice." It is YAHWEH'S own sacrifice of His right hand and holy arm that institutes the New Covenant.

CONCLUSION

Has YAHWEH'S Arm been revealed to you by this treatise? O, don’t think for one minute that this will please and satisfy Most people. There are many, many critics who will take this treatise and rend it to pieces, but for those who are able to receive it there is something you need to do. YAHWEH'S wrath is soon to be poured out on this present evil world.

We all need a Redeemer, a near kinsman to deliver us from the enslavement to this present world and its system. YAHWEH has become the Redeemer, the near Kinsman, the Savior and Deliverer Who will do this very thing.

YAHWEH revealed His Arm to the disciples in the day of His appearing in the flesh. They wrote and witnessed of Him. When the people asked, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Acts 2:37, the Apostle Peter responded, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of YAHshua the Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is unto you, and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as YAHWEH our Elohim shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation’," Acts 2:38-40.

Yes, repent and be baptized and believe in YAHshua the Messiah, the right Hand and Holy Arm of YAHWEH and HE will hide you under the shadow of HIS Hand (Isa. 49:2) when the day of wrath comes.
