Bates lists Jake Myers and Chris Luginbyhl among Bolivar pioneers 'who never failed to answer the roll call in time of danger.' Jacob 'Jake' and Mary Lingle Myers, daughters Juretta and Delilah, along with Jake's cousin, Amos Myers, arrived in the new town in 1852-1853 from Indiana. They settled west of Bolivar. Jake died while in the Confederate Army; and his widow married cousin Amos." I have no idea who Jake Myers' father was. Levi Myers, born 1812 NC, married first in 1828, Thersa "Threesly" Wadsworth, in Davidson, NC. Their children were: William b. 1831, Margaret Elizabeth 1834-1870 (m Bennet
Burleson in Denton, TX), Francis M. b. 1840. Levi married 2nd Mary "Polly" Sechrist in 1847 in Morgan County, IN. They had David C. 1849, Martha 1851, Eli P. 1853-1939, Rebecca 1858, Daniel M. 1862, Mary A. 1864, Matilda Alice 1867. The Levi Myers family moved from NC to Morgan, Indiana to Illinois to Denton, Texas to Franklin, AR to Crawford, AR, where I lose them in 1870.
