Book Review of
Why Americans Hate Politics by E.J. Dionne, Jr.

In this groundbreaking text, Dionne clearly explains to readers why Americans hate politics: political science books like this one. Dionne is obviously mocking the vast, unstoppable force of political scientists who apparently strive to pull the most terrifically boring bullshit out of their asses to fill up hundreds of pages with useless garbage. Essentially Dionne is stating that Americans have become so frustrated with such books that they have developed a hatred for politics and all of its subsidiaries.

It is clear that the fulfillment of Dionne’s thesis lies solely in his tiresome delivery of information, because other than that there is no reference to the thesis whatsoever. The first chapter does not even address the question of why Americans hate politics. Instead it launches the reader into a tastelessly monotonous and lengthy discourse on the political cleavage between the New Left and liberalism. Then it continues with an analysis of the history of Neoconservatism. That is where I stopped reading so I could pick my eyeballs out with a fork.

Most literary experts have concluded that Dionne could not have possibly expected the reader to suffer through the entire book. Instead, its length is simply a reinforcement of the Dionne's mocking criticism of modern political scientists. Dionne is attempting to instill a feeling of dread and hopelessness in the heart of the reader by burdening him with the insurmountable task of struggling through nearly 500 pages of worthless trash.

Kill yourself before you read this book.
