I painted this gas tank as a favor to a friend of mine. This was the first time I have ever attempted any sort of autobody work and painting.
I did this for him free of charge, well free labor at least. He supplied all the paint, primer, sandpaper, all that sort of stuff. I did this for him mainly for
myself. I wanted to teach myself to paint and this was a great opportunity to do so. He was gracious enough to let me use his tank as a guinnea pig. Now I think
that when I go to paint my '72 240Z that I'll have enough of an understanding to do a really good job. I'm going to have to give some credit to a man named Neil Slade.
His website helped me a great deal on the basics of painting. Reading his pdf and watching his videos gave me a great foundation to start from. His tutorials, along with some other stuff I read on the great intraweb, is what I attribute this tank looking so good to. So Thanks to all that helped me. BACK
