Dreamweaver MX 2004

During this Apple Class the Computer Exploratory Teachers were introduced to Dreamweaver MX 2004, web authoring software in the Macromedia MX 2004 Suite. Dreamweaver MX 2004 is now part of the Computer Exploratory Program in the Middle Schools. PowerPoint Presentation

The main project for this class was the creation of Virtual Portfolios of students work. In creating the portfolios the teachers learned the many aspects, techniques and characteristics of Dreamweaver MX 2004. Project Directions.

The portfolio lesson could easily be taken back to the classroom by the teachers and duplicated with their own students. The key to using this with students is to have the students save examples of their work in one central folder from the very beginning. When the Portfolio is introduced to the student, the folder containing their work is then made part of the website folder in which the project will be saved. Getting and staying organized from the very beginning is the key to any successful website development. A rubric is available for grading.
