"RAY OF HOPE"
Within our window's lower bay,
a candle cast it's soft-lit ray...
glowing for our soldiers, true and brave;
women and the men,
our children, or a friend,
fighting to remove a terror wave.
It's been three years, and counting,
since their young hearts proud and pounding;
went to battle with a mission fought afar;
they need our hopes and cares,
our utmost sincere prayers,
after all, it's us they're fighting for!
In this raging war on terror,
they are freedom's message bearer;
to silence all the violence in our world.
We never shall abort,
but give our full support
for those whom face the bombings that unfurl.
So, this little flame of lighting
beams a prayer so inviting,
for all our military to come home;
and some will not return,
but their lights will ever burn...
with a special kind of glitter all their own!
