Battle 1, we may have won,
but much work still remains;
the war's not done --it's just begun,
too early to make claims.
It's easy now to lose the sight
of horror that was spread,
arousing us from sleeping tight-
to wide awake instead!
So, as we move along in time,
never should we forget-
the image fine they left behind,
each sacrifice they met.
The praise of those true-brave heroes
will ride upon the wind.
and on it blows 'til it bestows
a peaceful, lasting end.
Then cast our missiles not astray,
nor store our cluster bombs,
but
blast away with every day
until our victory comes!
