"ENDURANCE"
A vision that my mind has seen,
The cross where Jesus died;
He, stretched upon its hefty beam
So painfully crucified!
I vow myself to view Him there,
His body limp and pale-
From all the pain He came to bear
With every driven nail!
I set my sight on Calvary
Where once my Lord was slain,
If He suffered in this deed for me,
Can't I endure my pain?
So when I feel my misery,
My thoughts go back to bear
The scene I see at Calvary,
And my Savior clinging there!
And all my troubles seem to fade
While peace fills up my heart;
For all the promises that He made-
From my bosom never part.
