GUESTBOOK
"JUST A COVER"
There's a Pit-Bull on our street...
who snarles, and shows his teeth
everytime I pass him in his yard.
He shows it pure and plain
that he's king of his domain,
that I should watch my step and be on guard.
It's the natural thing to do,
but there's something else here too;
His bark is much greater than his bite;
for when I gave to him
the kindness of a friend,
he stopped and wagged his tail just like a kite!
Now, there's a moral to this tale
that's occurring without fail,
consider this to people whom have fault;
of a saying old and new,
for it's absolutely true,
"you can draw more flies with honey than with salt!"
So, don't raise any ire
feeding fuel to the fire,
by adding to the ruckus like some do.
Just show kindness and respect,
to the ones that you detect...
as having that impartial attitude.
Some, like that cagey old Pit-Bull,
are trying hard to pull:
"the wool over everybody's eyes",
and when you don't give in,
but show your love within,
it always brings them down to size!
