SCROLL DOWN FOR PRAYER POEMS:
"MY BEST FRIEND"
No vast fortune have I made,
nor any claim to fame;
no honor, parade, or serenade
or credit to my name.
****************************
Just a simple passer-by
who walks amongst the throng.
No special friends do I rely
of those I pass along.
******************************
Just a face within the crowd
of many wandering sheep;
but with much hope to be endowed
by God...His love I keep.
****************************
I may not walk with mortal friend,
but not alone I go;
no other voice do I depend...
except this one I know.
****************************
For He's Jesus by me walking
along with every step,
'tis Jesus, my friend , we're talking,
'tis He who I accept!

"FORGIVING"
Dear God above, with all Your love
You gave Your Son to me;
a friend in deed, my soul in need,
He died to set me free.
Christ braved the cross and took the loss
to save us all from sins,
we must believe as we conceive
His love that never ends.
With special goals to save our souls;
great wonders to perceive.
So let us all be more like Him
and give what we receive.
Amen

"THANkSGIVING"
I thank you Lord for all the days that I have seen on earth,
I thank You now for all the ways You show your mighty worth
I thank you too for all my strength which surely comes from You;
And thanks again for this big lift, the power that sees me through.
I give my thanks for when I see I've been the lucky one;
while in this life where best is free and God's own will is done.
I thank You Lord for being here in many times of strife.
You brush away the ills and fears that come upon my life.
I thank You now for all the times when I was filled with glee.
The tI thank you Lord for all the days that I have seen on olling of the bells that chime, meant Your life had entered me.
I thank You for another cause, You wash away my sin;
it's done by Your abiding laws and love that has no end.
I thank You now for all my kids and also my dear wife;
I've been up and down the skids; they too, have changed my life.
I just thank You Lord for everything, the list is long and mounting;
many, many blessings ring, and many more for counting!
And thank You God for Your dear Son, Jesus is His name;
He died to free us all from sin and did so without shame.
;I'm thankful too for all the goals Jesus had in mind
The inspiration in His role was mighty and sublime,
for He is our foundation that everybody needs.
We sing in adoration for all His wonder deeds.
I thank You Lord at all cost, I do without delay,
for You are here when I am lost, You meet my needs each day.
And last, not least, I thank You - for a very precious prize;
The special one You gave me - the chance to be alive,
to see the morning sunrise, and know that I've survived!

"LIGHT THE WAY"
Dear Lord, please come to me today
and bear my troubles here,
somewhere en route I've lost my way,
I need a course to steer.
The path I'm on is dimly lit,
I hardly see it clear;
I'm treading on it bit by bit
to ease away my fear.
I know Your light is what I need
to brighten up the route,
for every rock that I impede -
I need to sort it out.
I need You now most urgently
to set my compass straight,
so I can handle all I see--
for time is growing late!

"THE FLAME"
Lord, I have this passion burning
down deep within my heart;
stemming from years of yearning
and searching for where Thou art.
I've lost my way a plenty
along life's rocky way,
but I counted my blessings many
as I called on You each day.
And the road seems never ending
as I tread each careful step,
avoiding the pitfalls pending,
of which I'm not adept.
'Cause I had my times to falter,
but I tried to do what's right,
and I strove in life to alter
those wrongs I could not sight.
But this flame that I'm attending--
I'll never want to douse;
because I am depending
on the strength that You arouse.
Then someday way up yonder
when the burning will decease,
I will nevermore need wonder--
for I will have my peace!

PRAYERS
Lord, come lift me up and bring me
strength to face all problems here;
for peace of mind with joy sublime-
erases all my fear.
You are my savior, my Reformer
and Redeemer too;
and with Your everlasting love,
my life will start anew.
Dear Lord I pray, to Thee I say:
I'm humble as can be;
come be my guiding light today
and live Your life in me.
You are my faith, my hope and peace,
my life and true salvation,
Your very presence in my heart
instills a firm foundation.
So now dear Lord I give my thanks
for everything I own,
and everything You've done for me
and family - save none!
And now dear Lord I beg of You
to hear my words today,
for what I ask is in Your name,
iJesus Christ I pray. Amen

"TIMELINE"
I know I've lived a life of woe,
called "run-downed through the mill."
To feed a fire of lust desire,
my restless heart to fill,
and in that task I came to ask
If God would love me still.
Because I walked a sinners way,
which trail was long and clear;
made every step I took each day
to bring Dear Jesus near.
For He alone, my sins atone,
and this I so revere.
The path of life just goes so far,
my steps have dwindled few,
but there at last, His hand I'll clasp,
for God is waiting true!

"MY PLEA"
Oh Lord, can't I have one small amount
of those blessings that I count?
For I've tried hard, I've stood the test,
I always did what You deemed best.
Now it's time to sum it up,
and see how high I filled my cup;
and now in my humble way,
searching peace come everyday,
I pray to Thee with anxious heart,
with all my sins to Thee impart.

THE JOURNEY FORWARD
* * * * * *
There's a paradise up yonder
where I'm yearning for in wonder,
where I'll meet my precious maker some sweet day;
for I know He's up there waiting
and has my hopes inflating,
as I find my inner peace along the way.
For in this world I've wandered
and all it's mysteries pondered,
and many times I've felt the sting of pain;
of a heart that has been riven,
but God has so forgiven,
and I learned to know His love is not in vain.
So from this world departing
I'll find it so rewarding,
as I sight my golden mansion way up there;
with the blaring trumpets blowing,
where my lonely soul is going,
where I'll hear the harps of angels everywhere!
Where my journey will complete
on a diamond studded street,
at last I'll reach my precious home;
where Jesus, God reside,
Whom I'll evermore confide,
and from then I know - I'll never be alone!
