NOW IS THE HOUR
"NOW IS THE HOUR"
We need each other more and more,
we dare not shrink or cower;
There comes a call like none before
that rings "now is the hour"!
For all of us are warriors now;
our duties are the same,
'twill take the sweat from every brow
for enemies to tame.
We need not fire a single shot,
nor yield a bayonet;
but show the foe that we are not
the weaklings they beset.
We must unite in this new fight-
against such different foes;
whom are unknown and freely roam
right here beneath our nose.
We pledge allegiance to our cause;
to country and to God;
and be alert without due pause-
so evil will not trod.
We all must work, together perk
with loyalty and pride;
forget the fears and dry the tears,
and stand for those who died.
We are at war, an unknown war
that changed both young and old;
for nothing in our lives so far
has taken such a toll.
But if we show our real true grit,
and nevermore give up;
even if it's bit by bit
will fill our freedom's cup.
Stand resolute in strength and will
with our undaunted power;
'til comes the day peace is fulfilled-
will be our finest hour!
