"ONE CROSS FOR ALL"
Have mercy Lord, my precious Lord,
I pray not just for me;
but other ones whose hurting comes,
are worse than mine can be.
No matter how I suffer here
with all my aches and pain;
some other's ills are rougher still
on this old misery lane.
But it's a path we all may tread
to deal with vicious woe,
the many things that illness brings,
that living has in stow.
For I've seen the smiling faces shine
of those who walk with pain,
of many found with braces bound,
and some who live in vain,
those, whose limbs are paralyzed,
and folks who cannot see,
they offer me- a token free,
responding happily.
And I feel my own ill dwindle down
as their courage reaches me;
for in my heart a flame they start
turns all my thoughts to Thee;
For You're the One who suffered most
through all Your love and care;
it's our remorse beneath the cross,
of pain You had to bear!
