EXPLORATION CAREER DEVELOPMENT via KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (KM)

Chief Information Ofcers (CIOs) engage in accessing information, analzying information, and redistributiniz information to Knowledge Managers (KMs) who critique the information and redirect it to others for use as value added knowledge. Figure 1 is a display of functions or roles. A CIO could be at a district level or could be a Cooperative Education Service Agency (CESA). CIOs and KMs would assist education service providers convert concepts into developmentally appropriate learning units, help manage delivery of them, and assess student learning outcomes via coordination of Career Counseling Services and Curriculum Development (see Figure 1).

6-8 Advanced Exploration in careers such as GAPP (see note about Quad/Graphics below). Exploration of applications to economy sectors such as in Graphic Arts, Printing, and Publishing. Early exploration about applications of technologies likeAdaptive and Assistive Technologies.

4-5 Awareness to Early Exploration of biometric, card, voice and wireless technologies.

Figure 1. A Paradigm to Enhance Career Development From Awareness through Exploration

Ouad/Graphics Inc., indicated that it would invest $600 million between July 2000 and 2002 to expand its facilities worldwide to help fulfill a new contract to produce nine million copies of National Geographic.
