The Early Days

Vital Statistics

Breed: Stray alley tabby.
Pedigree: Very questionable.
Age: Two years old, going on 8 or 9. OK, OK - I was born in 1988 - we think.
Weight: 16 pounds of fighting dynamite.
Sex: Hmm-m-m. I don't think so.
Eyes: A beautiful green. (They don't show up well in my picture.)

The Start

When I was around a year old I wandered into the yard of a cat lover. (She was either a cat lover or completely mad, as she had ten cats.) She liked me, but the cats were not so friendly. They did not seem to want to accept me as the boss. Fortunately she knew Lois, who agreed to let me live with her and be the boss.

Life with Lois

Lois and I get along fine, as I usually get my way. She used to let me go outside to play - until THAT ONE TERRIBLE NIGHT. I never came home for dinner that day and Lois was really worried. She searched for me for hours. I finally got home after midnight and was in sad shape. (I never told her where I was or what happened, and I am certainly not going to tell you.) Anyway, now I'm an indoor cat. She has 2 balconies where I can keep track of things and take naps in the sun.

VERY Important Activities

I really consider myself a philosopher, but I do have a few activities. I am an artist and a poet and, of course, a lover (in thought and dream, anyway).

I started The Back Fence Cat Club which offers many activities and is open to all cats who wish to join. This has kept me very busy - but very happy.
I am an active member of the Neighborhood Watch.

MY FAVORITE THINGS TO WATCH
1.	Birds
2.	The ceiling fan, particularly when it starts up - that is really fascinating.
3.	Water go down the drain (from a safe distance, of course).
4.	The computer screen. The screen saver is my favorite as there are colorful, moving things, which I am trying to catch to see if they are edible.
