PERSONAL STUFF
I was raised in Collinsville, Oklahoma - a suburb of Tulsa -where I graduated
from high school in 1976. I received my diploma in Commercial Art from
OSU/Okmulgee in 1978. I have been married to Dana (Harrison) since 1980; we have two sons--Ryon, who graduated
from Owasso HS in 2006 and Alex, who is in Junior High. We currently live in Owasso, Oklahoma.
THERE IS A GOD
Church--worshipping God and fellowshipping with other believers--is a very important part of our lives. We are members
of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso. I teach an Adult Bible Study (Sunday School) and
and maintain the churh's website.
WORKIN' FOR A LIVIN'
I work at Hughes-Anderson Heat Exchangers, Inc in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In a nutshell,
we build refinery equipment. I am one of the company's Visual Basic programmers, as well as the website administrator, and
resident graphic designer/cartoonist. My main function is Welding Procedure Document Control.
I have co-written two commercial applications with a friend who also works at H-A. The first program is an engineering app for TEMA, an organization that sets standards for the manufacture of shell and tube heat exchangers. The software package consists of three modules that perform calculations specific to the heat exchanger industry. Worldwide distribution began in 1999 in conjunction with TEMA's release of its Eighth Edition standards. The second program, called Ticketmaster is an accounting/tracking app for a local trucking company.
JUST FOR FUN
I enjoy reading; some of my favorite authors are:
- John MacArthur, Jr., Pastor-Teacher, Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. He can be heard daily on Grace To You radio program.
- Steven J. Lawson, Pastor, Christ Fellowship Baptist Church, Mobile, AL
- John Grisham
- William Bernhardt (Bernhardt lives in Tulsa and writes many of his novels using familiar landmarks in the area)
- Brad Meltzer.
I'm spending any other spare time I might have dabbling in woodworking, art--see Gallery, and I've recently started playing around with digital photography--see Photos.
