SUMMARY STATEMENT
My career has always been in art, illustration, graphic design, fine art and art education. I continuously move among these 4 categories, adding to and refining my skills both as an artist and as a communicator. My primary motivation is to be of service through teaching, participation in the art community and to enjoy my talent

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Illustration In 1966 I began my career illustrating ads for head shops and underground newspapers I progressed through ad agencies, printers and publishers until 'owned my own tree-lance illustration business. I had four art representatives and advertised nationally. A few clients were Citibank, Disney Studios, Post Cereals, Nestea, Motorola America West, I also illustrated book covers for Avon Book Publishers for 6 years. Design I started my own publishing company with a line of macrame books that I designed and illustrated. I co-founded CAPS Advertising where I was the art director. I was the creator of several corporate identity packages and ad campaigns. My fine art work included monoprints, lithographs and hand built ceramics.

EDUCATOR
In 1990, I was a member of the design and production arts faculty of Phoenix Institute of Technology. I wrote and instructed curriculum for graphic design and illustration color theory and art history (ages 18 to adult). In 1993, 1 was a member of the faculty of Aztec College where I also wrote and instructed courses in illustration and design. In my personal studio I provide private instruction in pastel, acrylic and clay to all ages, I have a lifetime teaching certificate with the community colleges in Arizona as well as two years of public speaking training Currently. I am a professional pastelist and instructor.
