The Cutthroat Trout
This 3D cutthroat trout puzzle is so much more fun than the 'flat' puzzles. I think this fish puzzle would be popular with the people who love fish and fishing. He's not as hard to make as you'd think, and you don't 'carve' him, just round him off with the sander. He'll take about 2 hours to make.

Here he is ready for the puzzle cuts

Here he is,
completely finished except for a mount. And a few woodburned
dots... No carving, just sanding.

Here he is mounted on a piece of framed plywood, I
kind of like this idea. Notice how he sticks out from the frame. Neat, huh? You
can use this plan for a puzzle trout, or just a 'carved' trout, or paint him and
mount him with driftwood or on a wood plaque to hang on the wall.
These plans run $8.50 postage paid in the USA. It isn't that hard to
construct, no carving, only sawing and sanding. I'm sure a scrollsaw would work,
but I use a bandsaw with a 1/8 inch blade,
a 4 inch X 36 inch sander and a Dremel rotary tool. A drill press helps too...
