The cute little shooter

30 shot machine pistol

I'm pretty happy with this little machine gun, very easy to build, also very inexpensive to make. I put a few videos on a different page, click here to see the short videos.
All the parts reqiored to make the machine gun pistol.

A one foot piece of "one by four" lumber (3/4" X 3 1/2"), and 1/8" dowels is all you need. You do have to slice (resaw) 1/4" and 3/8" thick slices of wood, and sand of course.

No clothespins, no plastic parts, to get the plans done I built 3 of them, all from scrap. I didn't have any 1/8" dowels, so I used bbq skewers, bamboo about 1/8" in diameter.

Machine pistol with dowel barrel

This one has a dowel for the barrel, a bit harder to build, I like the flat barrel better. This was the second built, a bit wider than the others.

All three shot fine, notice the different wood used, cherry and walnut, poplar, redwood and whatever, for a total outlay of zero. My scrap bin took a beating though. The time it takes to build one, about one hour, not counting glue drying time.

One last thing, you can buy rubber bands by the pound at office supply stores (Office Max, Office Depot, etc.), you'll need a bunch of them!

How many shots? 15 to 30, you can shoot this in bursts of 1 or 2, up to 15, and still have 15 more ready to go. How much for the plans? $8.50 total.
