Thompson
Submachine Gun

Plans...

When I was a kid, yeah, that was quite some time ago, WWII had just been won by the time I was old enough for a rubber band gun. I just want you to know that if I could have had one of these to play with I would have been the happiest kid in town!
My first Thompson Submachine gun
The Gangster Tommy gun

These little beauties aren't hard to build, and shoot just fine, 10 shots using the plastic parts, one shot at a time. Of course if you have a fast trigger finger you can put those rubber bands out there pretty fast, in bursts of 2 or 3, or all 10 in less than 2 seconds!
I put a couple of movies on "youtube dot com... check it out, click here and here for a short video.

Note the "Cutts compensator" on the front of this barrel. There are so many different ways to do this gun! I've been using cherry for the stocks and grips, and oak for the receiver, a half inch dowel for the barrel. Made 9 or 10 and have a couple in the works with something new! I perfected removable tailstocks, then built 4 more with interchangable magazines, just one screw to take out to switch between a clip and a drum magazine! Of course I'll have to make a movie of that.

I have the plans drawn up and ready to go. You can build it either way, with a glued in clip or detachable clip (and drum mag)

Want more pictures?  Check out the Finished Tommy gun page.

I'll include plans on how to make both kinds, actually I'm including all kinds of info, lots of pictures, 12 pages worth! No, it's not really that hard to make, I've just tried to cover all the bases. These plans will cost you $6.99 + shipping and handling, just click the "add to cart" button below. If you are outside the USA, please scroll down, it will cost an additional one dollar for postage.
If you live outside the USA there will be an additional charge of $1.00 to help defray the postage differences for the plans, please click below.

You can buy the plastic parts where I buy mine, here. Or email me and if I have any on hand I'll send them to you at $5 each postage paid in the USA .
