Treatment Guidelines During an Acupuncture treatment, most patients will experience a sense of well being and relaxation. A high percentage of patients experience good to complete improvement in this office. Be sure to cooperate with the prescribed regimen. The required number of treatments cannot be predetermined. They will vary in accordance to the extent and severity of the ailment. The doctor will be able to determine if treatment should be continued or terminated depending on patient's response. Patients undergoing acupuncture therapy should take note of the following: If a patient decides to start therapy, they should follow through to conclusion. Do not be discouraged by people who have little or no knowledge of acupuncture. Discuss any questions you may have with the doctor. No large meals or stimulating beverages 2 hours before or after treatment. Avoid pain relieving substances immediately before or after treatment. Try to rest and avoid excitement for several hours after the treatment. It is important to patient's progress to not miss appointments.
