Paul Jr's Birthday
Well what do you get your son who is 22 years old and on spring break? Lets help rent him an ATV for a day. The day after his birthday the 17th, I cut work and took my son out to play.
He has never ridden an ATV so we started easy and slow with a nice ride up Mt.Ord
I made sure that we covered as much ground as we could and seen a variety of scenery that he normally would never get to see.

March 26th 2005 Brill Dam
East -S-E of Wickenburg AZ is Brill Dam, known to some as Chinamans Dam. Not many people have ever seen this dam or know of it's existence. The Dam is located in the San Domingo Wash just below the junction of Spring Wash.. When traveling south on the San Domingo care should be taken to NOT drive over the Dam. The first step could be a doozy. When you see this little wall,,,,, STOP !
This is one beautiful dam. It looks like it is about 3 foot wide at the top. The entire dam is made of red rock and is in remarkably good shape for a dam built before the turn or the century.
After leaving the dam I started for Wickenburg. On the way I met some other riders that were going to a mine (mill) up the San Domingo Wash. I joined them and was treated to a wonderful experience seeing Anderson Mill. I'm not real sure of the dates of operation of this mill but, it was a large steel structure with welds, most likely in operation around the 50's.
As with most of the mills I have explored , most all of the equipment is in place. I guess thieves are too lazy to bother with the heavy stuff.
I found many other interesting sites. I found a cave or was it a mine ? Was it made by nature or man ? It was really round and the correct size, but not indication of mining or tailings? The Shack- Who would live out here why build such a shack? Who is this person? Another Unabomber? An escapee from prison? or just some nut case. Then we got the cold spot and orbs , first time I have seen them and snapped the camera and got something.
What the heck is this?
I guess this is a mountain of decomposed red granite. Mother-nature must have felt artistic. I just stood here and looked at the shapes.,,,,,,, Absolutely Incredible !
Sure grad I didn't sit home today !
