Artist Anne Shiever is an Artist in Metal, Jewelry, and Poetry Designs. She offers her creations in the standard and also specialized versions. Several years ago, because of a terrible situation Anne's Childhood toys were gone forever. She began to try to replace some of the Memorablia from her childhood years. She says, "I really found out the hard way that material things don't really matter in life. Being with good friends and family is much more important. What you are given can be gone in an instant, and you have to count the blessings that you have, instead." Anne became a specialist in the Vintage Barbie and Other dolls through personal experience when "getting ripped off" at shows, auctions, mail order catalogs by what were considered to be reputable dealers. She decided to educate herself so she has read over 30 books on the Barbie Doll, and her accessories. Her hopes and dreams are to someday have a Museum for Old Dolls and Toys so that other people may enjoy their memories and their beauty. If you ever need that special something for your collection, ask Anne. She now trades, and sells off pieces of her own collection in the hopes of "Someday owning a #1 Barbie Doll of her very own!"
Anne is currently working on a reference book for one of her favorite hobbies, which is collecting miniature dachshund figurines. Anne's love for her dachshunds has inspired her in her own greeting card line, where "her girls" are the stars! Anne loves to find these figurines, the older the better, so if you have one laying around your home, be sure to let Anne know. She may be able to trade you a wonderful piece of art for one of her interests.
