A TRIBUTE TO MOTHER

God said,

“My child, this “ANGEL” I give to you will be called “Mother”

For thy will Love and Care for you more than any other!”

With her angelic voice, her sweet lullaby, she will sing to you

As she gently rocks you, cradling you in her loving arms, too

She will tuck you into bed with that radiant glow on her face

For there will be no other lady who can ever take her place

Then she will sit down beside you, With her warm smile she will tell you a story

Before you go to sleep at night, she will teach you to pray to God, in his Great Glory

Innumerable hugs and kisses, for no reason at all, she will bestow upon you

She will comfort you, wiping away your tears, whenever you are sad and blue

She will teach you to talk with magnificent words of wisdom, listening, watching you grow

The two of you will share many secrets, those only thy “MOTHER” will ever know!

When you take your first steps, as you learn to walk, she will take you by the hand

Protecting you, she will never laugh at your faults, for only thy Mother can understand!

She will bake you cookies, bring you laughter, sing you songs, & teach you to dance.

She will tell you all about “LOVE”, Family, Everlasting Friendship, & Sharing Romance!

She will “make time” for 'special events', getting you ready for that 1st day of school

She will guide you through right & wrong, & explain the “purpose of the Golden Rule”

Your home will have a strong foundation, in her heart, there’s a place to call your own

And when you feel you have no one to turn to, she’ll be there, you’ll never be alone!

Your ANGEL will be a care giver, a lover, a partner, a teacher, and a friend,

For Mother’s job on the earth, will never ever have an end.

You will break her heart countless times; though she will shed many a tear;

But no matter what you do, She’s YOUR mother, for she will love you dear.

So remember, on Her “SPECIAL DAY,” that SHE LOVES YOU

She loves you more than any words can ever say!!

Take the time to say “THANK YOU” & “I LOVE YOU” to this special angel

that I have now bestowed upon you, called “MOTHER!”

Then to you, Remember in your heart, mind, and soul, as God loves you himself

That this ANGEL called MOTHER, will always love you more than any other!

(A LOVING TRIBUTE TO YOU, DEAR MOTHER,

ON YOUR “SPECIAL DAY!” YOU HAVE GIVEN ME MORE LOVE & ENCOURAGEMENT

THAN ANYONE COULD EVER WISH FOR! THANK YOU!)

ANNE’S ANGEL PRAYER

FOR YOU

OH, MY FRIEND

I prayed for ANGELS to guard you night & day

I prayed that they would hover o’er you to keep all harm away

So whenever you hear A tiny flutter of wings

Or feel the cool breeze Or simple gentle touch

You’ll know my prayer was heard today

For you are LOVED so very MUCH!

ARE YOU SLIPPIN AWAY?

Why do you want this empty space, my darling vision, what did I do

I thought you really did love me as much as I once loved you.

Is it the distance between us, the many many miles we are apart

will we ever see each other in the flesh --can we make a fresh start?

We take each day as it comes. Then I wonder Is this right?

Do you look forward to physical contact or just seeing me on the screen at night!

Is this just a 'head game' because you can't see me?

Are you a bit confused now, or do you want to be free?

I wish I had all the right answers to make you feel alright

I feel all your hurt & pain, my love; it tortures me day and night.

Each day that there is no contact, do your feelings for me just get stronger,

making you hurt more--Do you have feelings for me any longer?

Please give me some answers, my dear my feelings for you are still the same.

I'm so confused, I love my 'best friend', Not just a safety zone--to me it's not a game.

I know that you were crazy about me, several times you said that you were nuts,

Do you understand how empty I feel in my heart cause right now, it's riping out my guts.

I pray someday I'll see you, that we will hug each other tight

Remember Friend that I love you always --so tell me if I'm right!

Don't slip away, Don't shut me out, find courage to tell me how you feel.

I'll be there for you, if you want me to --You're in control with nothing to conceal.

We have lots of time, as hours pass by --time is on our side--

time builds strength, and love if you let it, a foundation filled with pride!

It's up to you to say the words, cause I can’t say no more,

but think it out before you do, I’ll only be a dream once you close the door.

I loved you so very much--I know you're real feelings of loneliness deep inside my heart,

I need to see you, to touch the screen, please don't let us drift apart.

I didn’t plan to fall in love with you, let me hear the words I'm longing for,

Tell me, 'I LOVE YOU' 'I NEED YOU, TOO' Tell me, 'I'm the one you adore.'

If you're slippin' away, Tell me the real reason

Love me as the nature's leaves turn colors throughout the season.

Are you slippin away? Will we still be friends?

Was I one of your many girls? Changing like classic 'trends'?

Imagination overwhelmed me as I saw you pop up on the screen,

In this romantic trance, I realized, You're only a fantasy, I woke up from my dream.

Time for me to look around Soul searching where I am headed

I played the game--just like you --Cause truth was what I dreaded.

Come tell me as you slip away, my fantasy, my loving friend, my dream,

Relationships come and go in computer land, they are never as real as they seem!

Beware my love, you're very good at the game, of stealing another lover's heart.

Time for us to say good bye to the screen I realize I was slippin' away from the start!

DANDELION FLOWER

I'm a Dandelion Flower pretty as can be;

with tiny yellow petals for all the world to see.

Children love to pick me as I sit here in the ground.

Sometimes, they pull my petals off or swing me all around.

Some people love to drink me, cause I make a very tasty wine.

Unlike those precious grapes, I don't grow up on a vine.

I brighten up an open field. I'm a nasty pest in someone's yard.

People step on me, pull me, spray me; but getting rid of me is very hard.

You may as well face it. I came here for a reason.

Whether I bring you joy, or make you mad I'll be BACK again, next season.

Cause, I'm a Dandelion Flower pretty as can be;

with tiny yellow petals for all the world to see.

Dearest Easter Bunny

Dearest Easter Bunny, I've been very good this year,

so if I could have a wish, In your wonderful Easter Basket

you’ve made just for me; I’d give you all your colored eggs

for 'World Peace & Love' With little messages in rainbow colors

on every Easter egg, so everyone ‘round the whole wide world could see!

Now it’s time, WE all need to reach out to one another,

to live our 'Life by Love' with Peace & Harmony.

So my very Dearest Easter Bunny, save all your chocolate bunnies

when your journey's near & you are hoppin’on your way,

Don't bring me any colored Easter eggs, this year on Easter day!

Just simply put a little note on every egg to ask GOD to 'Bless the U.S.A.'

If These Walls Could Talk

If these walls were alive, and could talk

Would you worry about what they would say?

Or do you have yourself up on a high pedestal

So that nobody can ever stand in your way!!

Would the walls tell about your “secret lies“?

Do they know when you shed a tear?

Do they listen when others talk about you?

Do they protect you when you’re here?

Have you ever went home sad, lonely, or angry,

Just wondering what all these walls would say?

Would they gossip back & forth with each other

As you do about your own friends each & every day.

Do you enjoy telling tales,

& putting people down,

Especially when you really

don’t know them at all,

Spreading malicious gossip to anyone

who listens whenever their not around,

So they too, build up their own

Special SECRET Wall?

Do you lash out at others,

when they don’t see your view?

Or would the walls tell me “stories so secret”

Would they open my eyes & give me

a 'new view' of you

If these walls did talk,

would you ever have any regret!!!

These walls connect as one,

for strength and unity;

If they all fell down,

then what would become of thee.

Now ask yourself each day,

if these walls could talk,

What stories would they send

down their gossip tree!!

Is your “Code of ethics” as it should be,

Or do these walls hide “many stories,” too.

Tales that could haunt you

in your sleep at night ,

From all the mean, degrading, deceitful

things that you say and do.

Remember that these walls have many ears,

And eyes that you may never ever see,

But if these walls ever did decide to talk,

Would you be ashamed

of what they would tell me?

So if these walls came to life

for just one day,

Would you have a clear conscience, too

Is there anything you would be ashamed of

If these walls were talking about you!!!

MEMORY OF MY DEAR DADDY

I remember my Dear Daddy tucking me in,

and kissing me Good-night.

Telling me softly,

“Daddy’s little girl will have sweet dreams

when you shut your tired little eyes tonight.”

I’d wake up in the morning,

sit at the kitchen table,

while riding on your lap.

I “lived to be with my dear Daddy”

until it was time for me to take a nap.

I remember that evening you drove the car,

to take me and mommy home.

I was oh so frightened

from the wicked storm on that dreadful night.

But I can see your warm smile,

hear your kind voice, As you say,

“Hush my little daughter, don’t be afraid.”

“God is watching over us. We’ll be alright!”

I remember the day

God took you away,

and I was only the age of four.

Friends and family members were mourning,

as I opened up the door.

You called out…….. to my Dear Uncle “AL”

Daddy, that day you saved the life

of your best pal.

You died while you were oh so young.

My Mother’s “new life” had just begun.

Left with two small children

to raise all alone,

She wondered,

What dreadful thing could

She have done?

I never realized you weren’t coming back

as the people filled our living room.

I remember telling everyone,

“Please don’t cry.”

“ Daddy will be home real soon.”

They put you in your casket,

said a prayer, then laid you down to rest.

As they lowered your body

down into the ground,

I knew, “You were with God’s chosen BEST!”

“I LOVE YOU“,

so very much My Dear Daddy,

though, from this earth you are gone.

My memories of you My Dear Daddy,

will always live on and on.

I know that you watch over me,

from eternal life in heaven up above,

Now, as I visit you at your gravesite,

I’ll always have the “Memory”

of your Sincere UNDYING LOVE!

MOTHER, I LOVE YOU

Many days & nights pass by, she watches her children grow

Only Mother’s Love deeply within them, wherever they shall go

Thoughts of fond memories, the secrets that we both share

Heartfelt words Love, Comfort, & Wisdom tell them how you care

Everlasting friendship, the day she cradled you in her arms

Radiant beauty, her unique way, she stands out by her charms

It’s time I give back all you’ve given unto me

Living life to the fullest, thou has taught me to be free

One day in time, I step forward to grab the knowledge I can

Venturing onward I build a home with a strong foundation

Each night I thank God, for his wonderful creation

You, thy “Best Mother,” Thanks for loving me, too

Only 1 secret I must share with you, as I

Utter this, oh so true;

MOTHER, I LOVE YOU!

MOTHER’S LOVE

Many days and endless nights pass by, as she watches her children grow

Only Mother’s Love stays deeply within them, wherever they shall go

Thinking of all the fond memories, the secrets that you both share

Heartfelt words of love, comfort, & wisdom to show them that you care

Everlasting friendship, the moment she held you; cradling you in her arms

Radiant beauty, in her own unique way, as she stands out with her charms

Silently praying to God for his Angels to protect you both day and night

Listening to you when you feel lost, lonely, frustrated, sad, or blue

Offering her guidance, love, & peacefulness to you, as only a Mother can do

Vivid dreams in her mind, of the wonderful person you’ve become today

Encouraging you to reach out to your dreams, as only Mother’s Love can say!

OH MY MYSTICAL LADY

Oh, Mystical Lady tell me a story

As you write your words on paper

Scribbling with your old ink pen

Before your thoughts begin to taper

Tell me a story of seduction or romance

Or of one that’s sad and blue

I wonder if I’ll ever get the chance

To write as good as you do

Write me a delightful sonnet

Of the stars out in the sky

Or a dreadful bloody ballad

To make me tear, and cry

Oh, My Mystical Lady

You send my emotions in a whirl

Something about you overwhelms me

But you’re a very mysterious sort a girl

Write me a wonderful play

Or just write me a verse

Please give me something

That I may rehearse

Oh, My Mystical Lady

Where is your home?

What is your story?

Have you been to Paris or Rome?

You tell of traveling

From place to place

You write about the planets

And moonbeams from outer-space

Oh, My Mystical Lady

I can feel all your pain

But I keep reading your work

--Cause you drive me insane

Tell me something scary

So I won’t sleep at night

Or a suspenseful thriller

So on my fingernails I’ll bite!

A chant, or a little ditty

To make me dance and sing

Nothing can ever compare you

To the entertainment that you bring

A novel about a long voyage

Or the passage about freedom

All your magnificent thoughts

Posted so others may read them

Oh My Mystical Lady

You make my senses come to life

By your descriptive words of desire

Of the intimate tales in your life

Your description of the trees

Or the petals of a flower

Give my sense of smell

The most amazing power

I can see you in a candlelight

I can smell your perfume

But My Mystical Lady Sometimes I wish

You’d simply leave the room!

You make me see the beautiful colors

Of rainbows and magical lands

But you just keep on writing

(Tell me) Do you have calluses on your hands?

I’ve got an uncontrollable appetite

For your incredible taste

My gosh, do you write everything

So your thoughts don’t go to waste?

I’ve got an impulsive desire

To be fondled by your touch,

Is there something wrong with me

--Cause I love you way too much!

I think I hear you breathing

Or whispering in my ear

Now what is that you’re writing

Perhaps another poem, my dear?

What is your body like?

Are you soft, fat, or thin?

Please tell me now!!!

Do you have dimples on your chin?

How do you do it?

What is all this--- secret?

You’re torturing me by your mystery

Do you feel any regret?

Oh My Mystical Lady

Do you already have someone to love?

Music sings joyously from your soul

When you write of God in heaven above.

A quotation from the bible

Or a piece from the newspaper

Or the mysterious criminals

Who plan their next caper

Oh My Mystical Lady

I’ve seen you on cards, letters, & more

I guess I’ll never know

What else you have in store.

I’ve read your books--so many of them

Stories for children --to grumpy old men

Though my eyes are weary I crave to read on

As you keep on writing again and again

You write about nature, adventure,

Plants, animals, and then--

You get another thought

& Start all over again!

Your sensitive and sincere

Courageous and bold

Sometimes I wonder to myself

Just how many stories you’ve told.

You’re wise, you’re witty, you’re cheerful,

You’re pretty, You’re cruel, You’re kind!

I may be confused; I may just be blind, but

I just can’t seem to get -cha Out-ta my mind!

You’ve written about families,

You’ve written about friends,

You write about arguments

---then you make amends!

You’ve written about the sea,

The ocean, small rivers, and streams

Sometimes, I close my eyes to rest

And you’re right there in my dreams!

So many innumerable categories

But you just seem to “FIT IN”

When I think I’m catching up

You write something’ else again!

I can be in the shower

You might pop into my head

If I’m watching tv

You climb into my bed

You just jump outta nowhere

You’re so many places on line

But wherever you come from

To someone--You always look fine

I can be driving my car,

Or ridin’ my bike

Oh sometimes I wish

You’d just Take a hike!

I don’t understand it

Those things that you do

You just don’t seem to care

What you’re puttin’ me through!

Oh My Mystical Lady

Tell me now, tell me true

The more I read about you, too

I want to know now, WHO ARE YOU

So, My enchanting Mystical Lady

Tell me your name so that all may see

All your magical, spectacular words on paper

Please……TELL ME YOUR NAME!

(((((((((((((((( )))))))))))))))))

Silence-----shhhhhhhhh

I hear her …………….

She’s writing again!!!!

Why?...My name???... It’s “POETRY”

The Revolving Door

I call this place the Revolving Door,

I don’t know why, but they come back for more.

They lay the blame on the way they were raised,

Beaten down---they were never ever praised.

I had to do it, just to “fit in”.

It’s a habit, so I did it again.

Drugs and alcohol--it just don’t mix.

“But my friends all do it”, just for kicks.

The only attention they ever got,

Was the long arm of the law when they were caught.

How can we reach them? Do we dare try?

Are they really worth it?

Will they just live a lie?

Some will change for the better,

once they’re inside

With the Golden Rule, they will now abide.

The life of crime. It really doesn’t pay.

With steel bars and doors, you’re there to stay.

The choice will be yours, if you ever get out.

You found out the hard way, what life’s all about.

Don’t walk back through the Revolving door.

Stay away from there. Don’t come back for more.

SOULMATE

Do you believe in a soulmate?

cause baby that's what you are;

a gift which came from a wish I made,

upon a falling star.

I wanted someone to love me

just for being me,

and now I have found him--

my soul-mate...that is he.

You're stored upon my heart,

in my mind where no one can see,

‘cept for you that is--

my soul-mate...that is he.

I don't know when I found him,

but he's there inside of me,

that precious little wonder--

my soul-mate...that is he.

He's in my heart all day,

he's in my dreams at night;

forever there to comfort me--

my soul-mate...that is he.

I thank God for each day,

'cause only I know how you are;

my special gift which came from my wish.

I made upon a falling star.

--My Soul-mate...that is he.

The "Crush"

In the shadow, I could see his face

"the crush" was more than just a dream!

Now would he look back at me

and feel the same way too......

My heart pounding so fast,

what could this all mean!

Then just a second for that attraction

From only a distant stare

Only a minute to like someone

By time *spent together* in the world they share

And an hour to become a friend,

With a *bond of friendship* to last forever

One day to realize how painful

the heart aches when they*re apart

Never knowing their next endeavor

The nights they long for each other*s touch

To be back in each other*s arms again

They reminisce of their first time *making love*

On that day they realized how very deeply

They were destined to be together!

It takes a lifetime to build a memory like this

One that you'll never ever forget!

Falling in love with someone so special

and precious, loving moments with no regret

Then after so many years pass on by

They can still gaze into one another's eyes

knowing those feelings are stronger than ever before

A Love as this you can't begin to ignore

The love that started from a glimpse across the room

"the crush" was more than just a dream!

THE EMOTIONAL GUEST LIST!

The handsome young groom

said to his beautiful spouse,

“Who shall we invite into our new house?”

She sincerely replied, “Don’t invite Violence,

Empowerment, or any form of Abuse,

Cause everyone knows,

they have some screws loose.”

“Let’s invite Christianity, Generosity,

Honesty, Integrity, and Peacefulness here.”

“I know they would be wonderful guests

to bring inside our new home, my Dear.”

The husband replied,

“What about Anger, Frustration, or Anxiety?”

“Don’t you think we may need

to have a little bit of variety?”

“Absolutely not, my husband, Dear!

I put them in the same class as

Aggression, Madness, and Fear.

I don’t think we need to invite them here.”

Her caring husband paused for a moment.

Then he said,

“Ok then. Let‘s invite Patience,

Empathy, and Kindness instead.”

The wife joyfully replied,

“Now that’s a terrific choice.”

“How about Excitement, Sensuality,

and Sexuality with a Calm, but Gentle voice.”

“Oh yes, my bride,” he said.

As he nodded his head.

“Don’t forget Good-health, Spirituality,

Wisdom, and a Prayer before bed.”

“Now who else can we add to our

EMOTIONAL GUEST LIST?”

“Let’s see if there is anyone

that we may have missed.”

“Depression, Loneliness, Resentment,

Jealousy, Envy, and Despair.”

“No one will ever care

if they are not there.”

“I think Happiness and Long-life

will bring Safety and Security.”

“Cleanliness of the Mind and Heart

will bring a Soul of Purity.”

My sweet Darling,

the husband solemnly replied,

“Is there any chance Disappointment, Hurt,

Sorrow, and Hatred may come here to hide?”

“Never!” “Not in our home,”

the wife said with a great big smile.

“Gladness, Goodness, Forgiveness,

Obedience, and Trust will stay here awhile.”

“I’m sure our EMOTIONAL GUEST LIST

is almost completely done.”

“I always enjoy working together.”

“ Making plans with you is so much fun.”

The husband gazed at his wife

with his big green eyes.

“For the last on our list,

I have the most wonderful surprise.”

“Let’s invite Wealth and Success to live here

with us, forever, until the day we die.”

His beautiful bride looked at him

with a small tear in her eye.

“We’ve forgotten the most important

Guest of all, perpetual “Love”.

For without Love,

Success and Wealth will never

Rise up from above.”

The husband held his wife closely,

Looking into her big blue eyes.

“That’s why I married you,

So beautiful, so wise!”

Together, they folded the invitations,

And sealed them with a kiss,

For a lifetime filled with LOVE

From the EMOTIONAL GUEST LIST!

The PENGUIN

You asked me for a little penguin

Many, many years ago

To have someone to follow you

Wherever you would go

You wanted to keep him in the bathtub

Where he would be safe and warm

You said you would care for him

Love him, & keep him away from harm

I asked you why you wanted a penguin

You replied, “He’ll be my special friend.”

“I’ll love him as I do my big sister,

Until you can come back home again!”

But you never did get a little penguin

Because Penguin’s live where it’s cold

So, I prayed when you were all grown up

You’d have someone else you could hold.

Now, smile, whenever you see a penguin,

Then you’ll remember to think about me

--Cause I love you my dear sister

Forever, together-- through all eternity!

The Woman In Blue

This woman in blue stands before you,

as you can see;

She's a 'Correctional Officer' Proud as can be.

Booking, The POD, Movement, or Control;

Wherever my job is, I have a purpose and goal.

Commissary, Sick Call, Request Forms, Clothing, Food and Supplies;

I know I’m watched closely by all those eyes.

Be courageous, tough, firm & fair,

knowing what to do;

For Inmates and Con-games, each challenge is 'new' to wade through.

They will test my skills from time to time.

I must Think quick! Then react!

—at the drop of a dime.

Verbal Judo, F.O.R.C.E Moves, OC Spray,

Impact Weapons, Deadly Force;

Whenever a problem arises,

I must always choose the right course.

A paper frame, A chain made of string, A sock filled with soap, A toothbrush shank;

There’s nothing but time,

for the inmates to plan their next prank.

For each incident that happens,

I write a very thorough report;

I must be sure it’s correct,

as I may go to court.

With pride I will walk, when I take the stand;

Nervous inside, as I raise my right hand.

A wife, a mother, a teacher, a friend;

Until each day is over, my job does not end.

But this 'WOMAN in Blue' as you can see,

Is a Correctional Officer, PROUD as can be.

LOVING GRANDMA

To my Loving Grandma

You're the best in all the land.

Whenever I need comforting

You are there to lend a hand.

In my heart, you're very special

That's why I call you 'Grand'.

Thank you for your wisdom, faith, and love,

guiding me through whatever God has planned.

Now that I have grown up,

it's time I take a stand.

I need to say, 'I LOVE YOU' my dear Grandma,

The most Wonderful Lady in the Heartland.

Water is what I will be

These broken chains have set me free

Now God has given me the answer

And Water IS what I will be

Pain & abuse can hit you like a brick

You feel alright for awhile,

but suddenly you just feel sick!

They are tougher than a nail

Tho’ no matter what you do

They’ll become brittle and break

With each teardrop that falls

As your heart begins to ache

Then broken chains will set me free

Cause I have finally found the answer

And Water IS what I will be

Like a rock in the middle of a winding road

His heart is stone cold, as he watches you grow old

But even a rock will slowly shrink away

as water flows around the rock again for another day

Soon, there’s nothing left but a pebble,

Washing away on a sandy beach

His grip is finally gone

He is out of your reach

For broken chains have set me free

Cause I have found the answer

And Water IS what I will be

Your bound to him as his wife

But he’s sharper than a pair of scissors

He can cut you like a knife

But what can dull a sharpened blade

As rust begins to form

Forgive me for mistakes I’ve made

I’m not living in “the norm”

But broken chains will set me free

As the blade rusts away after many years

No pain, no tears, as water IS what I’ll be

He’s the stormy weather on a hot summer’s night

Like a lightning bolt, he will hit if you don’t do right

As tears will fall like rain, no more sorrow no more pain

Soon my tears of joy will set me free

I’ll blend in like raindrops, flowing down the rain chain

Cause……..water IS what I will be

Then I’ll flow down to the creek,

And connect to the GIANT “river of life”

That will never have an end

I’ll run, I’ll splash, I’ll gently trickle down,

Until I find my long lost friend

Finally, broken chains will set me free

And I’ll flow down to the big wide ocean

Cause Water is what I will be

Then, together, my new dear love & I

Will make love like the fishes in the sea

And Our friendship & undying love will grow

To last for all eternity, cause

My Faith in God has finally set me free

I’ll never “hurt” inside, again

And WATER IS WHAT I’LL BE!!!

WHAT I FEEL

What I feel, what I know

Turn the pages, now look below

Have you read the good book

Have you crossed the path

Now take a good look

At Satan’s wrath

Has he got your heart & soul

Or do you have another goal

Is the door locked

Have you looked inside

The pages you read

Will now be your guide

Have you got a heart of gold

To turn the key

Or are you right where you want to be

Open the door now, Enter the dark

The light of our God

Will be your spark

He’ll guide you to

A New Avenue

Streets of heaven

Lined in gold

It’s what I feel, & what I know

Turn the pages, Give the Lord thy soul!

What I feel, what I know

Turn the pages, now look below

You’ve read the good book

You’re on the right path

Now take a good look

God’s home is where your at.
