4000 at start to 5000 at aid station #1
Begin at the Cedar grove near the swimming pool.
Go north on wide dirt road at rear of school camp 1.06
Go right at xing of Stonewall Creek and Upper Green Valley Roads 2.31
Go straight onto Upper Green Valley Trail at xing of Soapstone Road 1.22
South, right, on La Cima trail to Sunrise Trail Head Restrooms 1.31

The next segment is all on single track, rising gently to nearly 5200
then gently rolling to about 4700 at aid station #2

#3 Aid Station Camp Cuyamaca Segment mileage 6.7 cum. 19.3
Segment #4 is nearly all single track, ascending from 4050 to 5150,
then down to 4750 at aid station #4.
Circle around the back the aid station and turn right just past the horse staging area .20
Cross the Museum Road and go north for 1.2 miles
Cross HWY 79 and go north right on West Side trail to paved Lookout Road 1.8
Go across Lookout Road on the single-track trail, continue uphill for 0.3 to an intersection with the Azalea Glen Fire Road .
Take the left fork (uphill) on Azalea Glen Fire Road; go uphill for 0.4 and take the single-track trail on the right,
go downhill on this trail for 0.6 and turn left at the intersection. Continue on this new smooth gravel travel for 1.0 as it
crosses some new wooden bridges and winds back around the campground toward the entrance of the Paso Picacho campground.
Go LEFT on the paved road to the day-use parking area; the aid station is located by the new restrooms.
#4 Aid Station Paso Picacho Day use area segment mileage 6.0 cum 25.3
Segment #5 is flat to gently rolling, 4750 to 4650 at aid station #5.
Exit Paso Picacho at entrance, crossing HWY 79 to East Side Trail 0.10
Left, North, on East Side Trail to California R/H trail 1.00
Right, East on California R/H trail (following yellow topped posts) 30 + .20 + .30 skirting edge of old
Equestrian campground to Los Vaqueros trail .80
Right on Los Vaqueros Trail to intersection with Marty Minshall trail .40
Left on Marty Minshall trail to parallel paved road, first curving away from the
the paved road, then crossing paved road, and gradually curving around back of Stonewall
Mine (do not go up the Stonewall Mine trail). You will now be running parallel to Cuyamaca Lake that you viewed earlier
when you were crossing the meadow from the Pedro Fages aid station. You come to a Mounted Assistance campground
(with corrals and water), make a sharp right on to Minshall trail just past the horse campground.
The trail brings you down to a small parking area by Hwy 79. Carefully cross Hwy 79, go past the gate and
up Milk Ranch Rd. 0.1 to that Big Bend Aid Station.
#5 Aid Station Big Bend off HWY 79 segment 5.1 mileage cum. 30.4
#5 is ½ mile south of restaurant
Segment #6 is nearly all fire roads, rising over the 1st 2.75 miles to 5700,
then descending to 4960 over 2.84 miles, & back up to 5110 at aid station #6.
Leave aid via Milk Ranch road to Middle Peak Fire Road .15
Right on Middle Peak Fire Road passing Sugar Pine turnoff, continuing left
on Middle Peak Fire Road to Black Oak Trail, 2.25
Continue to right on Middle Peak Fire Road to #2 Black Oak .25
Continue to right on Middle Peak Fire Road passing #2 Sugar Pine and bearing

Segment #7 is fire road and single track rising from 5110 to 5350 over
the 1st 1 ½ mile, then gradually descending to 3950 at aid station #7.
