"Your Father in Heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost..."  Matthew 18:14

Adoption... perhaps one of the most awesome words ever spoken!  Adoption was originally God's idea - it was His intent. He adopted the children of Israel as His own, and then made a way for the Gentiles to become His adopted children as well.  Adoption is a common thread throughout Biblical history.  Moses, Samuel and Esther were adopted - even Jesus was adopted by Joseph!

People choose to build a family through adoption for various reasons.  We feel led by the Lord to use adoption as the means to have the larger family that we have always dreamed of.  Raising children is also a type of ministry - a way of giving back and serving the Lord.  By reaching out to others in need, I am certain that we will greatly enrich our own lives in the process, deepening our faith as well as our relationship with our Creator.  Although the process has been somewhat of a financial strain, we trust that if we are obedient to the Lord in what He asks of us, He will provide what we need.  (He always has)  Yes, our decision requires faith - taking a chance without knowing exactly what lies at the other end.  But ultimately, faith comes down to trusting God... something we try to do better and better at with each opportunity!

We feel blessed to give, serve, and use our time and talent caring for our family on God's behalf.  What greater gift can God give than the gift of a child?

Heavenly Father, we love you and worship your name.
Let us come into your presence knowing that you love us
Much more than we could know in this lifetime.
I believe, O Lord, that children are a beautiful gift of God.
I believe that you gave us so many other people to love and be a gift to us too.
These wonderful children give us hope for tomorrow and joy to our lives now today.
How blessed we are that you bring so much love into our lives.
Please help us to see your love in everyone that we look at.

Lord, you say that if we believe, you will give us what we ask for.
Help us to desire what you know is best for us.
It is the desire of our hearts to open up our lives to the joy of children.
Lord, if it be your will would you fill our homes with children's laughter and joy?
Help us to nurture and lift up a sweet little one unto you.
Give us courage to do what is right in your eyes and guide our every step
so that this child can come to know you as their Lord and Savior.
Help us to always be a blessing for those you bring into our paths.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
