Sidney Moxham

" I treat every painting as something of a surprise, as I know not where the paint will lead me.
I like Golden Fluid Acrylics, crayons, pastels, and anything that will help me along the way...
My purpose is to enjoy and hope the viewer will join me."

Sidney Moxham started painting in the early 1970's as a beginner at the Phoenix Art Museum, studying with Ina Mae Moore who taught her the joys of experimentation and playfulness.

Later when she studied with Jason Williamson, he advised her to "never go down someone else's path."

Renowned artist, Mary Beam, expanded her interest and opened more vistas with the introduction of her favorite medium, golden fluid acrylics.

Maxine Masterfiled took her into even further and more exciting experimentation - which resulted in her work being included in Maxine's book, "In Harmony with Nature."

Under the teachings of Lily Ham, she was continually challenged to use her mind to further extend her abilities.

Sidney has become a successful experimental painter in watermedia, winning many awards, featured in many publications, and exhibitions as you may see in her extensive resume.

"My purpose is to enjoy and hope that the viewer will enjoy with me."
