1.  RICHARD5 ALLEYNE  (RICHARD4, JOHN3, RICHARD2, GEORGE1)1 was born Nov 9, 1572 in Skillington, Lincoln, Eng, and died Oct 25, 1651 in Stowting, Kent, England.  He married CHRISTIAN UNKNOWN.

Notes for RICHARD ALLEYNE:

One account states:

Dr. Richard Alleyn was the rector at St. Mildred's, Canterbury, England form 1601 to 1637.  He then was rector at Stowting, Kent, England from 1637 to 1651.

Another conflicting account (Genealogies of Barbado Families?) states:

Occupation: Doctor of Divinity, Oxford University

Rector of Stouting, Kent County, England from 1601-1637

(NOTE: There is no definitive proof that he is the  ancestor of the earliest confirmed Allen, Robert Sr. It needs to be proven that Richard Alleyn is the father of Richard Allen b: c.1613. It also must be proven that he is the an ancestor of the earliest confirmed Allen, Robert Sr.)

Genealogies of Barbados Families 1, there is a chapter entitled, "Alleyne of Barbados", by Louise R. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------

Col. Alleyne died of a gunshot wound during the struggle between the Royalists and the Roundheads in 1651. He died on board the Rainbow taken out of the Virginia fleet under the command of Alleyne by a commission from Oliver Cromwell.

Something's inconsistent in the above. If he died in 1651, he didn't write a will in 1675!!!
