Funny story--- the older couple (probably in their 70's) and their van were so funny and DETERMINED. You can not imagine the road that they just drove the little mini-van up....the little lady was driving ( there's a handicapped tag hanging from her mirror ) ....she ignored the "4-wheeled drive only" sign a few miles back. Ruts, rocks, and mud holes in the road were a job for our Jeep and driver.... once we crossed paths and she asked our driver/guide how much farther it was...about a mile, he said....she thought she'd turn around, she said...... Sure enough we were at the summit about 2 minutes when she pulled up !!!!! Made me feel like a sissy to pay a guy $100 to drive Kathleen and I up there ( got to see and pan for some gold, too, tho')
