This web site was originally set up to recognize the enlisted personnel of
3506th and the 3508th Flightline Maintenance Squadron, and later decided to allow
any and all enlisted personnel from the base to be included as "The Greenville Airmen"

The below Cadets pictures were added to show the readers of this web-site what our
mission was at my discretion and was offered by the listed owner
These are some of the Cadets we supported during our assignment at Greenville. The T-28 was phased
out about 1953 or 1954 and the new era of trainers were introduced as the first jet trainer.
The new trainer was an F-80 fighter aircraft, modified with a rear seat configeration for training.

F-80

Also the wing tip drop tanks were modified to fit to the tip of the
wing, rather than the lower part of the wing.

Ground Crew duties on this aircraft were the same as on all aircraft.
