FEAST OF TABERNACLES OBSERVED!

Yahweh’s Evangelical Assembly was blessed to be able to host the Feast of Tabernacles again this year. We had several new people added to the feast this year, and, of course, some of the regulars.

  Several of the messages were recorded, but we have been having problems with our reproduction equipment, which has caused a delay in getting any tapes or DVD’s prepared.

We are happy to report that two men were ordained as elders during the feast. Brick Parrish and Frank McKinley were ordained as elders. We truly appreciate their contributions to the fellowship, messages, etc. They are also in the process of getting involved in the prison ministry and we pray that Yahweh will utilize them fully and effectively therein, as well as elsewhere.

  We also want to thank everyone who came to the feast with us this year making it such a memorable occasion. We have determined that we will not host a Feast of Tabernacles here in the Texarkana area next year. We will keep you apprised of the various feast sites in future newsletters.

PHILIPPINES

  We are already through observing the Feast of Tabernacles last Oct. 9-16, 2006, and the brethren of Mindanao Island felt the joy and satisfaction that we were able to keep Yahweh’s appointed seasons (moedim). This year we again had two feast sites in the island of Mindanao under YEA/YAIM joint ministry. One site was in Cotabato City and the other was in North Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon.

  Elder Lilangan led the feast observance in Cotabato with the deacons there. We decided to have two feast sites because the poor brethren in Cotabato can not afford the high fare for the transportation between these two places. The majority of the Maramag brethren also can not afford the transportation fare because most of them, like the Cotabato brethren are only earning low income due to the economic depression in the Philippines.

  There was singing of spiritual songs and inspiring message heard by the brethren during the feast. I gave messages concerning endurance and steadfastness in the faith in obedience to the eternal laws of Yahweh and His feast days.

  We took some pictures of the feast’s events but they failed because our camera’s flash was not bright enough so when the film was developed, only dark shadows appeared on the film. I am sorry that I am not able to send our pictures with this report.

  Terrorism struck again in the Philippines. The towns of Tacurong, Makilala and Kidapawan, Cotabato province were bombed by them in the early part of this month (Oct.). Some people were injured and some were killed. The terrorists are at large. They are believed to be foreigners from Muslim countries like Afghanistan and Indonesa. The intelligence report reveals that they are members of “Jema Islamiyah.”

  New dreadful diseases have appeared and are scaring the people of the Philippines. One has killed many Philippinos. This disease is called “Dengue Fever.” If a person gets this fever, he will die in three days.

  Our country (the Philippines) is being whipped with natural and man made disasters. The typhoon Milenyo devastated the city of Manila killing many people and destroying property. The war between the government and different rebel troops is causing destruction and losses of lives and property of our people.

  We know that all of these are fulfillment of prophecy. We must rejoice and be hopeful for Yahweh’s kingdom is at hand! For all the dangers that surround us, we must not fear and worry because Yahweh builds a hedge of protection to spare the lives of His people. Those who are obedient to Yahweh and fear Him will be guarded by His angels. (Psa. 34:7)

  In closing, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all brethren there. May Abba Yahweh always shine His face upon you.

  We are all safe by the grace of Yahweh and due to your devotional prayers. We pray for you and your wonderful service, which is being done all over the world.

  Importantly, we celebrated the Feast of Trumpets on 25th September at Kalakota, my native village. All the Pastors attended the meeting. The meeting was held successfully. I arranged a meal for all the Pastors with great effort. Please pray for the Pastors and for their congregations. I am sending photographs along with this letter. Thank you very much for your kind cooperation  and what you have done in our service.

  I have received the Yahshua’s Witness Magazine. Thank you very much for it.

  As per your calendar, we successfully celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles. We went on a door to door canvas in so many villages with our youth group wearing ’T’ shirts which have Yahshua embossed on them. Please pray for our effort.

The mid-term election has taken place. The people have spoken. The end is near.

  What I mean by saying this is that so much of the character of this nation has been changed since I was born into this world back in 1943. Yes, I was born into a world that was at war. Of course, I didn’t know what was going on since I was just an infant, but as I grew, I learned.

  My father ordered a set of books entitled Pictorial History of World War Two. As an inquisitive child, I would take the books and turn page after page, volume after volume (it consists of five volumes) looking at the various photos. There was the beginning of the war when America was not involved. Then came Pearl Harbor. When America was attacked, that was the last straw. Our forces entered the fray and in just three and one half years, the enemy was vanquished.

  Americans were so incensed that they rose to a man, woman and even child to face the enemy. The same thing happened in World War One. The enemy overstepped his bounds, began to attack American interests and whamo! He was defeated.

  Since that time we have fought a Cold War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and each time the spirit and will of the people has faltered. The Vietnam War, of course, served the purpose to divide our peoples and many began to strike out against the government, the military and just about any kind of authority.

  These wars, these conflicts have served their purposes well. The enemy has worn us down as a people and as a nation united.

  The enemy has been very wise indeed! Or should I say subtle? You see, the media, radio, television, movies, music, drugs, etc., has been utilized to the fullest. But don’t forget our educational system. The enemy has infiltrated our educational system with some of the most liberal minded, atheistic, socialistic professors known to man. It began at the college level and has filtered down to the basic roots of our schools.

  These institutions have taken young mushy minds, which are focused only on what they can get out of life, trained them up to become unbelieving, atheistic infidels and turned them loose upon us as the brightest and best of the lot.

  They have invaded our government from the top to the bottom. Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, Judges, all reveal these influences.

  Now, we are in serious trouble. Whether you know it, or believe it or not, we are in the midst of another war, a WORLD WAR! The forces of communism, socialism and humanism have done their damage to the spirit of our people, but now another enemy has risen that is much more subtle and difficult to detect. That enemy is the forces of Islamic terror.

  We have sat back and watched as the Islamic terrorists have racked our Jewish brothers and sister with violence in the Middle-East. Of course, we have supported the Jewish people with billions of dollars each year, but our own government has also chosen to support the Palestinians and other Islamic terrorist groups. I suppose that some of the reasoning is that if we send our dollars of support, we will have something to say, some kind of leverage on both sides so we can sue for peace. The problem is that it hasn’t worked. Everyone utilizes the monetary support to arm themselves to the teeth with greater and greater weapons of mass destruction so more and more people can be eliminated in the name of the gods of war and destruction.

  Don’t get me wrong, this whole scenario and more has been prophesied millennia in advance. You can pooh-pooh the Holy Scriptures all you want, but they are Yahweh’s instruction book to show us how to live, move, breathe and worship so that we can reap the greatest benefit out of life. But the warnings are also there that if we fail or refuse to follow the instructions, mal-function is the result. For something to malfunction means that it just doesn’t work, doesn’t it?

  We proclaim that we are a Bible believing nation whose Constitution is based on the Holy Scriptures. But we, as Adam and Eve, as the ancient nations of Israel and Judah, as pre-flood and post-flood man, have turned away from our Creator, are in the process of taking His word out of our institutions, forbidding prayer, forbidding the Scriptures, etc., which will result in our own destruction.

  I don’t play politics and am neither Republican, nor Democrat. I understand where these terms and forms of government come from and, believe me, they are not Yahweh’s choice of government. But the people have spoken in this last election (with a lot of help from the news media and hostile Democrats, of course) and they want us out of Iraq and Afghanistan also, I am sure. That is the problem. No one is willing to continue to fight the war. The Islamics have congratulated the American people on their choices, which means that the enemy has prevailed because we no longer have the fortitude that it takes to stand up to, struggle with and overcome a direct attack from an enemy.

  We are no longer like our forefather Jacob, who struggle with the angel of Yahweh and prevailed. I am reminded of the words of Ezekiel, “They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof,” Ez. 7:14.

  The first 13 verses of Ez. 7 explain a lot, “Moreover the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying, Also, thou son of man, thus saith Sovereign Yahweh unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am Yahweh.  Thus saith the Sovereign Yahweh; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come. An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come. The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains. Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations. And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am Yahweh that smiteth. Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them. The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

  We have become complacent. We no longer know how to respond. We have entered an era of confusion. We are in mortal danger because we have turned our backs on that which would have made us whole, on that which would have instructed us in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Destruction is coming. Are you ready for it?

NEW SACRED NAME VERSIONS 
SOON TO BE AVAILABLE!  

We were blessed at the Feast of Tabernacles to be able to meet a very humble and dedicated brother. His name is Diego Garcia. Brother Diego has exhibited a very special love for His Creator Yahweh and Messiah Yahshua, and for his own people and language by dedicating over twenty two years to the production of a Spanish Version of the Scriptures.

  But that’s not all! He also is in the process of readying another English Version. The amazing thing is that Brother Diego couldn’t speak a word of English, but when he dedicated himself to producing the English Version, he became somewhat familiar with the language. He admits that he can’t speak English very well, but he is able to converse enough to get his point across.

  He has named the Spanish Version “La Escritura De Verdad.” The English Version is entitled “The Scripture of Truth.” This name is found in Dan. 10:21, which says, “But I will show you that which is noted in the Scripture of truth…”

  Brother Diego has undergone an intense, in-depth study of Scripture in order to do the best he can in rendering versions that are as close to the original that he possibly can.

  He has made arrangements with a printer in Mexico City to make up the plates for both versions of the Scriptures. He has stated that he has taken it as far as he can. Now it’s up to Yahweh. Does he want these versions to become reality? Brother Diego has spent those years of study and preparation believing that He does! We also believe that He does!

  The situation is that he may have enough funds available to produce only five hundred copies each. This, of course, will drive the cost of the new versions up. He needs the funds to be able to print at least five thousand versions of each language, but it is costly! While it would drive the individual cost of each version downward, it will take somewhere around forty thousand dollars for each version.

  Let’s do some math here so you will understand what Brother Diego and those who desire to see these versions produced are up against.

1,000 = $10.00/ea. = $10,000.00

5,000 = $7.00/ea = $35.000.-00

COST OF PAPER-BOUND

500 = $12.00/ea. = $6,000.00

  You can see what it takes to bring the prices down to something that is affordable for the poor of Yahweh’s people.

  We, ourselves, are a poor assembly compared to that which is available to others, but we have, at this time, promised that we will dedicate funds for at least 500 Spanish Versions (hard-bound).

  Please understand, Yahweh’s Evangelical Assembly never solicits funds, monetary help from others for the financial support of this ministry. Funds are provided for us when Yahweh stirs your hearts to donate to us. But you do know that we are here and that we have expenses, which must be compensated for. We praise Yahweh for this and we also thank each and everyone of you who deems this ministry important enough to financially and especially prayerfully support us.

  But you haven’t known about Brother Diego, his sacrifice, nor his offering. Therefore, we are informing you now and are soliciting your aid, your help in this venture on his behalf. If Yahweh does lay it on your heart to take part in this venture, then please respond with your donations as quickly as possible!

  Personally, we feel that the Spanish Version will help to open a giant door to a Spanish work. We know that the English Version will help as well.

Elder George Paña has continued to be busy in the Philippines. He has recently baptized a couple into the saving name of Yahshua. On Nov. 5th, 2006 he baptized Brother Ryan Nelson Manzano and Sister Cecile Monroyo in Matunog Pool, North Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon.

OBITUARIES

We are deeply saddened to have to report the following deaths:

 Ethel Watson: Ethel lived in Paducah, Kentucky. She was baptized in 1994 by Jerry Healan. She continued in the faith until the end. She was all alone in that area where she lived, not even having relatives, so the facts of her passing are scarce. She had observed the Feast of Tabernacles a couple of years with us here in Texarkana. We went by to visit her in Paducah several times throughout the years and she always was ready to fellowship and prepare a meal. Of course, we attempted to take her out to eat in order to treat her, but she wouldn’t allow it. She was a sweet lady and we will miss her greatly. Roy Elias: Roy had become associated with this work while incarcerated at the McConnell Unit in Beeville, Texas. He served his time and was released. He lived in the San Antonio area and met with the New Braunfels Fellowship Group. It appears that he suffered a massive heart attack. He was faithful in attendance at services and also in participation with the group. He will be sorely missed. Mary Nisbett: Mary passed away on Aug. 15th, 2006. She is survived by her husband Doyle, children and grandchildren. Doyle and Mary were very well known, loved and respected by Yahweh’s people. They were former members of the Worldwide Church of God. They learned of the truth concerning the Sacred Names, embraced it and have served faithfully for many years. They also held services in their home for years until health problems among others caused them to be suspended. Doyle is now in a rest home Barbara Boss: Babara was a believer living in South Africa. While we never met, personally, we did meet online via email. She was always sending various messages, especially news reports that are not normally seen in the media. In August she sent a message stating that since Passover she had been suffering from an affliction that caused her flesh to swell up in various places and then turn hard like concrete. She said that she did her part by being anointed by Lionel Gets, but on Sept. 14, we received an email from her granddaughters informing us that she had passed away.

 Lee Larned: Lee was baptized in the saving name Yahshua at the Feast of Tabernacles in 1991at Camp Keown, MO., by Elders Donald and Alan Mansager. He worked for the U. S. Postal Service, but had developed heart problems. He occasionally kept in touch via email. We have no other details of his demise.

Evelyn Kacos: Beloved wife of Dave Kacos expired on Sept. 29th, 2006 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born Sept, 20th, 1931. She is survived by her husband Dave, son Mike and daughter-in-law Sylvia and grandson Bryan all of Douglasville, Georgia. Graveside services were performed by Jerry Healan. She is interred at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Texarkana.  Lillian Healan: Lillian was born Dec. 5th, 1922 in Allene, Arkansas. She died on Nov. 21nd, 2006 in Atlanta, Texas. Graveside services were held at the Linden Cemetary in Linden, Texas, on Nov. 22, where she was interred next to her husband Ralph. She is survived by her sons Jerry, Sammy and David Healan, two daughters-in-law, Frances and Betty, her brother Walker Bowman, six grandchildren, various great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jerry Healan officiated.  Thomas Atkisson: Thomas was incarcerated in Hamilton A&I Correctional Center. He apparently died on 2/26/06. We were only recently informed. No other details are available.

In the Kingdom we shall be lifted high,

Sharing in Yahshua’s Majesty.

Tomorrow, we shall be

The Blessed Ones

In the Kingdom.

Today, if we are seeking His Way,

And yet have a life of sorrow- -

In Yahshua’s Kingdom we will be comforted

In that time of Joy to follow.

Tomorrow, we shall be

The Blessed Ones

In the Kingdom.

Today, if we seek to be Gentle,

Willing to be Helpful and Friendly,

Showing Others Yahshua’s Way of Love,

A beautiful Land will be ours to see.

Tomorrow we shall be

The Blessed Ones

In the Kingdom

Today, if Yahweh’s Righteousness

We long to see,

We shall be Satisfied Forever,

Living with Yahshua through Eternity.

Tomorrow, we shall be

The Blessed Ones

In the Kingdom.

Today, if we try to be Kind,

Helping others on their earthly journey,

There will be Mercies from Yahweh,

For we shared Salvation’s path with many.

Tomorrow, we shall be

The Blessed Ones

Today, if we are guided by His Power,

And in our Hearts are seeking to be Pure,

We will see the face of Yahweh,

For His promises are sure.

Tomorrow, we shall be the Rulers

In the Kingdom.

Today, in this World of trouble,

We are among those striving for Peace,

We will be called Children of Yah,

Living in Splendor that will never cease.

Tomorrow we shall be

The Glorified

In the Kingdom.

Today, if we are persecuted and hold fast,

Courageously living for the Right,

We shall know a wonderful land,

And live forever in Yahweh’s Light.

Tomorrow, we shall be

The Holy Ones

In His Kingdom.

Tomorrow, King Yahshua will return,

His own to Deliver.

We will rejoice,

We will be glad,

And

Be with Him

Forever.
